I hate this new "Design" thing on Blogspot!!!

I am not very good with the computer; and I started to change my pattern and messed up my blog :( hopefully when I am in a better frame of mind. (LOL:raging PMS now) I can fix it back; so please be patient with me. LOL My daughter says I shouldn't even own a computer. I'd just figured the old one out and then they change it. LOL I'm almost done with the Santa RR, it's been a rough one, I just have his beard to do and I should be able to have it done by prob. Thursday; then I'm stitching for a Lizzie Kate exchange; and can't wait to do this project, I spent a few hours looking at all my patterns and picked out a cute one. I'm about due for another "stash" run real soon, I can't fight the "urge" much longer. LOL But I had to get new front brakes for my car $246, so that may slow my splurge.

RIP Uncle Bill. :(

My Uncle Bill lost his battle with cancer tonight. He was 80 and lived a great life; as we get older it is so sad that we start to lose those who have been such an important part of our lives; 5 years ago this November I lost my dad. I never imanged I would ever have to face my life without calling my mom and dads house and hear his voice. Life is so precious and short, this is it, you don't get a second chance, as my boss once told me; "This isn't a rehersel for your life, you don't get another chance to go back and redo anything". So, those of you who do still have your dad, special Aunt or Uncle, call them or go see them and hug them; you don't know when you will ever have a chance to tell them you love them..

2nd Day .. Better. LOL

Well, my second day was better; they hired 55 of us and are only keeping 25! They never told us that when they hired us. I'm so glad I haven't quit my other job yet. I hope they keep me, I guess we'll just have to wait and see; I'll do my best and hope for the best. It's a small store. I stitched a little on a Bent Creek zipper kit, the Snowman one; but got bored with it; I have to finish that darn Santa for the exchange. Thank you for whoever follows my blog; I love to read your comments, they make me smile. And can't all of us use a extra smile??

First day at Joann's

Well I worked my first day at Joann's and it's hard to say rather I'll like it yet or not; were setting up the store from the fixtures up and it's not to exciting. LOL I'm sure when the "goodies" start to come in and we can stock them away it'll be better, I don't think I'll be able to do both jobs though; my feet and legs are killing me; waiting tables for 6 hours then going to Joann's for 4 is hard on this lady. LOL. We'll see; I've been stitching on the Santa from my RR; it's not going to fast because there is a TON of 1/4 stitches, but it'll be nice when it's done; I have to mail it out July 7th and with working two jobs and Ashley's baby shower coming up I prob. won't post much but I do get on and check out everyone's blogs every night. I look forward to it.

Just another day...

Not much to write about; I haven't picked up a needle in days. I have to get working on that RR. My friend Olenka is having a give-a-way on her blog. Olenkasstitchsblog@blogspot.com, she does beautiful work. Well, I'm off to work; I sure hope I get full time at Joann's so I can quit my waitress job. I'm tired of it and the people there; I've never worked at a place with so much drama in my life. LOL

Movie night

I went to see "Sex in the City 2" with Ashley, it was a good movie; and made me wonder why I wasn't born rich or married to a rich man?? Who decides these things? LOL oh well, I have two beautiful healthy daughters, a grandson I love dearly and my little pumpkin granddaughter Scarlett; who will be here in 59 days to see her grandma. :) I have a cute little duplex; and a "ok" job; will be starting a new one on Thursday at a new Joann's Fabric; which may turn out to be a huge mistake. LOL but I need a new sewing machine and I heard I'll get a good discount. I can't wait. I started stitching on a RR; it's a santa that is a little more detailed and difficult than I'd like to do now; but it's going to be pretty when I get it done.

Road Trip

Me and Ashley are going to Montrose today to pick up my grandson; He's going to stay with us for a few weeks for the summer. I know he'll be bored; but hopefully we'll be able to keep him entertained for a few weeks. LOL He's 14. It's about a 5 hour drive; we were going to go up last night and get a hotel; but their so expensive; Montrose is a little mountain town and we can't stay w/my oldest daughter because their place is way too small; and I don't really care for her boyfriend. Gotta go; gonna take some stitching with me; Ash wants to drive some and it'll keep me busy.
