I need your option...

I have been stitching on Birds of a Feather and don't care for the colour it asks for to use on the alphabet; it's too light for me; so I looked thru my WDW last night and came across Tabacco Road and stitched a few letters and I like it; but I'm needing a few of your options; if you are stitching this and have used a different colour I am open to suggestions. :) I know I can count on you all..

Finished part 1...

I stayed up til 1:30 a.m. trying to get part 1 finished so I can start part 2; and now that I am starting on the alphabet I'm thinking of changing the colour; the thread is too light for me; I want it to stand out a little more? So, I'm going to go thru my WDW after my update ad see what I can come up with. This is such a fun picture to stitch. Please excuse my wrinkles..LOL

Kenny loves to "win" me stuffed animals. LOL Like the ones in those "claw machines" at Walmart etc., and at fairs. I now have 31 of them; my biggest one is the 4ft black bear holding a "I love you" heart he won me at Colorado State Fair 2 years ago. I'm going to take some of them down the the local womens shelter for the kids there; but I'm keeping a few of my favorite ones. He came home with this one yesterday. :) Here's a picture of my stitching chair and my mess around it. lol

Ashley and Scarlett are coming back from Texas next week and those of you who follow my blog know how happy this makes me. I've missed them terribly and can't wait to get my hands on Scarlett..:) She's still waiting to join her hubby in Germany; the Army is taking their sweet time getting their paperwork in order. I hate to see them go; but they need to be together as their little family; Torrys already missed enough of Scarletts 1st year.

Who sent the "frog" to my house!!!

I finally sat down to stitch on my Birds of a Feather and found out I'd missed a stitch; just 1 and had to tear out about 40 stitches...:( I'll try to explain, in the pictures below you can see the one with the red flower is the correct one; you stitch 3 rows of 3 then a row of 1 and then a row of 5; well I stitched 3 rows of 3 and then the row of 5 and skipped the 1..:( it wasn't too bad so I "frogged" my little heart out and then re stitched it. I only have the bottom row of flowers and I'll be done with the 1st part and can start part 2. I'm not going to order part 3 until I get 2 at least 1/2 done. I was to get this framed and entered in the Colorado State Fair..:)

Me and Kenny went downtown and looked around some Antique shops; I just got this jar of buttons for $5. I couldn't pass them up; I'm in love with little buttons. :) Today he came to pick me up at work and went to Golden Corral; it's a buffet style restaurant; I love that place and as always we ate too much. I think I'm gonna go and stitch. Hope everyone is staying cool; it's been such a hot miserable summer..

New pics of Scarlett

No real stitchy news; I haven't stitched for days, it's just been too hot in here; we have 2 air conditioners but it's so hot; we don't have any trees to shade our house so the sun beats on it all day. And it's been over 100 the past few days and no sign of a cooling trend. :( I absolutly HATE the hot weather; I could live in Alaska and be a happy woman.

Actually I would love to live in a cabin in the woods in Alaska where you get snowed in for months; of course I need electric & running water. LOL I'm NOT a "roughin" it type of woman!! LOL I'd just love to sit and watch it snow and stitch all day..:)

Here are some new pictures Ashley sent me of Scarlett. She'll be 1 Aug 17, I can't believe she's getting so big. We "skype" almost every day and she is so funny; I miss her and her mommy so very much. I'm going to stitch today and tomorrow; I have to go to the dentist in the am at 11:00; I'm already thinking of excuses to cancel. LOL..

I recieved this cute LK pillow from Laura for our LK Exchange. It's too cute and I love halloween; it's my favorite holiday. I haven't been stitching much; I do want to get going on my Birds of a Feather I just saw part 3 and it's soooo cute; I am stitching this to enter in the Colorado State Fair this year so I best get busy..

Until a few nights ago; I'd never had a smores. Me and Kenny were watching TV and saw a commercial about them and I'd mentioned I'd never had one and he got the stuff and made me one. (we have a gas stove) LOL. It was very good; but a little too sweet for me. Sorry such a short post I worked today and a double yesterday and I'm so tired. I think I'm going to go to bed.

A little stitchin & other stuff..:)

I had a busy weekend; after work on Saturday me & Kenny went to my girlfriend from works birthday party, we had a lot of fun, then I worked Sunday and we were swamped; which is a good thing. Yesterday I didn't do anything at all except I watched some t.v. and stitched on Birds of a Feather SAL. I did make a macaroni salad and Kenny made some hamburgers for supper; that was really good.

Today I had to go to Joann's for some material; do you think that out of the prob 5000 bolts of material they had 1 with strawberries??? They had: watermelon, cherries, corn on the cob and mushrooms; I couldn't believe they didn't have anything with strawberries. It was fun to watch Kenny help me pick out some material and I did end up with the one he picked out. LOL Then we went and watched the new Transformer movie; it was very good; great 3-D effects, then we went to Walmart and got some groceries and came on home. We bought a sub from Walmart and had that with some macaroni salad for dinner.

Here's some pictures from the party and of my Birds of a Feather; sorry for the wrinkles; LOL I have to get busy; I stitched some more on it tonight and have 2 red flowers left on the bottom then I can start on part 2. I feel that "urge to splurge" on some stash creeping up on me. LOL I'll probabley order some Thursday or Friday. :)

I need help finding a pattern please...

Kenny's mom loves dolphins so I thought it'd be nice to stitch her up a Christmas Ornament with a dolphin. Does anyone have one they'd like to share? Not much else going on; going to mail out my LK exchange tomorrow; I should have mailed it yesterday but I had those 3 teeth pulled Tuesday and haven't been stitching. I know once my gums heal I'll feel better.

I'm making BBQ chicken in the crock pot for supper; it smells great in here :) I hope everyone is able to stay cool. Here's a picture of Scarlett; she's teething and Ashley says she chews on everything. LOL I sure miss her..
