Another snowman...

I stitched this snowman in 2 days..he was such fun to stitch I didn't want to put him down; I came home from work at sat right down to stitch; I still have my work clothes on. :) I have started something I can't share right now; it's for an exchange. (it's adorable)..

These are a couple of patterns I want to work on soon; hopefully I'll finish my "gift" and will be able to start one of my "January" pictures. Me & Shirlee are going to do a SAL with the January Word Play. I'm really addicted to this series. I think Shirlee is only going to stitch January's; but I'm going to hopefully stitch the whole series.

A finish & new start...

Hi all, hope everyone had a wonderful & safe New Years. We had a quiet one; I worked then we went to Golden Corral for dinner and then laid in bed watching T.V. til midnight; then we went to sleep; pretty quiet night. I'd love to go out; but there is just too many drunk & crazy people around.

I was off work today, I cleaned the house and then sat and finished my January Cottage, & started this little Heart & Hand kit I found in my growing pile of stash. I've had this kit for about 4 years I think..lol Something I "had to have". I am really enjoying stitching it; the material is a little dark and hard to see but I'll manage..lol I'll be stitching a lot of snowpeople for a while; I'm in the mood to stitch them...lol Sorry the picture is blurred; I'll take another one tomorrow; I should be done. I'm off work and plan on stitching most of the day; I do have to run to Kohls and return some work shoes I got, they hurt my feet; so I'm taking them back. I need some new jeans for work hopefully I'll find some on sale. Here's my TULSA jar; all empty and ready for a new year of stitching...I have the past 2 years in another jar. I'll have to take a picture of that sometime..

Kenny is off work today and he makes the BEST spaghetti sauce; he surprised me and made it today; he cooks it in the crock pot and when I was stitching I heard him doing something in the kitchen and went to investigate and he was putting it in the crock pot..yummy; we just ate and I ate too much..

Little bit of everything...

I am off work today because I am going to my customers funeral. I am nervous about going; I haven't been to one since my dads 6 years ago. I cleaned all morning, took down the Christmas decorations. I know your suppose to wait til after the New Year but I just got the "urge" and took advantage of it. LOL Who knows when it'll be back.

When Ashley was younger she belonged to a horse club; she was Queen for 3 years in a row. Every Saturday was filled with horse shows; I use to complain because it was cold etc...but what I'd give for those days to come back. I skyped w/her and Scarlett for about an hour this morning; Scarlett is walking all over the place. I sure hope I'm able to go visit them next year. I'm planning on going for Christmas.

I got my order from 123 yesterday; I was able to stitch the roof on my January Cottage; I maybe able to finish it today; Kenny works til 8:00 tonight. Were going to dinner on his break at 4; the funeral is at 2 so I should be able to make it. I guess I better go get ready...

Last TUSLA for 2011..

I haven't done much of anything but stitch & eat for the past 2 days...lol I won't have to eat for the rest of the week. LOL

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas; it's hard to believe it's all over now; it takes us weeks to prepare, shop, cook, decorate and it'd over in 1 day. I am ready to take the decorations down now. I will probabley do it Wedesday; I'm usually off on Monday/Tuesdays but I have a funeral to go to on Wednesday so I switched days w/a girl at work.

I've been stitching on my January Cottage; I still don't know how I'm going to "finish" them? Any ideas?? I was thinking of making big pin keeps & put on a easel on my hutch, or pillows? I don't know yet..Sorry so short, I have "turkey burn out" I think. LOL Of course here are some pictures of Scarlett opening her Christmas gifts; she's getting so big...

Darn Camera....

I finally got around to finishing some ornaments and when I was taking pictures my camera died; so I'll have to post the other ones tomorrow. We have about a foot of snow outside and it's still lightly snowing. I rode to work w/my friend who lives across the street, we slipped all the way to work; when I got there 3 people called off so instead of having 8 waiterss, we had 5, which was fine we could have gotten by with 3.

I broke down and ordered myself the January Word Play and the threads I don't have needed for it and another chart from LK I plan on stitching for someone "special" :) so I won't show it yet. I figured I haven't ordered myself any stash for a while now. Merry Christmas to ME!! LOL

I had some sad news this morning; I have waited on this adorable older couple for 4 years, well in March we lost Mrs. Rains; Mr. Rains comes in every Thursday & Sunday; I would always find a few minutes to sit and visit with him. I know he missed her terribly; whenever his daughter (from Virginia) & son (from Ohio) come to visit they come see me; me and his daughter (Barbara) exchanged phone numbers without him knowing so she could call me and check on how he's doing w/out him knowing she was checking or if he didn't come in for a few days I'd call her, we've gotten close; well she & her hubby were here visiting, a week ago Sunday Mr. Rains slipped and fell in the bathroom and they took him to the hospital. She called me this morning and told me he'd passed away yesterday. :( He was doing so good; but went to sleep and passed away. I know he's happy to be with his wife again, but we will all dearly miss him. You never know what life holds for you, just live everyday like it's your last and tell every person who you love how you feel for them because you never know.

Wonderful Surprise....

I recieved this beautiful ornament from Shirlee (Farmhouse Ponderings). I absolutly LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it hun!!!! It was a very wonderful surprise. We are doing a private friendship exchange next year. I can't wait!! Thank you so very much hun; I can't express to you howmuch I love this ornament; my 2 favorite things gingerbread men & peppermints..LOL

I have to work Christmas Eve til 6; Kenny & Heather are going to fix dinner; were going to cook our Christmas meal on Christmas Eve and then just relax on Christmas and open gifts and eat leftovers. Kenny got a turkey from his job on Thanksgiving so were going to fix that. Me and Heather (oldest DD) are off to Walmart & Joanne's in a few minutes to get the last little things. I need to get things for Kennys stocking.
