Happy Valentines Day!!

A new start..

I decided to start my Feb Christmas Ornament. I think me and Shirlee are stitching the same one...lol You know what they say about "Great minds thinking alike"..I am watching the Grammys; I use to always watch them; but the past few years I have skipped them. I'm so sad about Whitney Houston dying; what a sad, sad loss. I was in my 20's in the 80's when she first became popular and loved her and her music. It's diffidently a sad day..

I was sitting here in my stitching chair last night working on my Feb Word Play and my new cat "Baby" crawled up here and fell asleep; I just love the way she sleeps on me..lol Kenny was off today and I worked; I came home and he washed the dishes & wash & dried and kind of put away 3 loads of clothes. LOL He doesn't fold "panties" LOL. But he did tell me he "honey I hung up your bras". (I dry them over the shower curtin)

I have to go for my mammogram in the morning; and then I think I may go downtown and check out the Antique shops; I haven't done that in a very long time and I really enjoy just walking around down there. Tomorrow is Ashley's birthday; I sure am having a hard time; it's only the 2nd one we've been apart for. It's so hard to let them grow up and "move on". That's enough of that; got myself crying again..lol This is an older picture of Scarlett & Ash, it's prob my favorite; I bought her this coat & hat at Dillards when they lived with me, she looks like a princess in it.

We were kind of slow today; that's fine with me; I'm so burnt out working. I wish I was the one person that won the $325 Millon lottery; but I guess you have to play to win...LOL Hope everyone is safe and stitching a lot..

It's snowing..yea!!

It's been snowing all day; it made work very slow and boring. But I sure do love when I am able to stay home and opening all the blinds and just watching it snow. Me & my friend Shaylin went to Walmart after work, I saw a commercial for hot dogs rolled in crescent rolls and thought those would be good for dinner; we usually go out on Saturday nights; it's our "date night" but with me missing 2 days of work this week due to that stupid absessed tooth we can't afford it this week. Besides its cold and when I got home I just wanted to put on my pj's and relax. I've been surfing the internet for a few hours. I should have been stitching.

I stitched on my February Word Play for a few hours last night; I should be able to finish it tomorrow when I get home from work or Monday. I do have to go for my yearly mammogram at 9:45 Monday. I recieved a few charts I'd ordered a few weeks ago and they were on backorder and 5 other threads I needed for those charts. I'm starting to get quite a lot of WDW, CC & GAST threads. I hope to someday maybe having all of them..LOL I know, but I can dream can't I? I skyped with the girls this morning for 20 mins before I had to go to work. I sure do miss them. Ashley will be 24 on Monday. My baby is growing up. I wish we could be together and I could cook her my Grandma's mac & cheese; it's her favorite and she always had me bake it for her. Hope everyone is doing well and able to stitch & relax & enjoy the snow if your lucky enough to have some....

A little stash & progress...

I swear if it isn't one thing it's another; on Friday I started feeling like I was getting a toothache in a tooth that was just worked on 2 months ago. I called & they said my new dentist wouldn't call me in any antibotics til he see's me tomorrow..so I just thought it'd "go away", by Sunday morning my upper lip, nose and part of my cheek are swollen and hurts so bad I can't even barely put make up on and I wear Bare Escentuals; it's just powder and hurt. I look like one of the "Who" people from Dr. Seusse...LOL Well this morning it's just as bad; so I went to my dentist office and the lady in the office almost got smacked...lol she said my dentist was off today and I just had to wait; there I stood all swollen and looking like a monster and she couldn't have another one of the dentist in the office prescribe me something. She told me to go to the emergency room; I can't afford to do that; so I'm just waiting til tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.

Kenny had a Dr.appt for his diabetes; then we went to Walmart & ate at IHOP; I ate some scrambled eggs and some hash browns. I've just ate soft stuff and I'm getting tired of it. Then we came home and I laid down from 4:30 to 7 and slept; I haven't been sleeping well. There's nothing worse than a tooth ache. The only good thing was coming home to find a package from 123; a few things that were on backorder last week. Now, maybe I'm just complaining because I don't feel well; but I'm sure most of you will agree. When I started stitching in 1984 charts were $2.50-$5.00, now were paying double (& more) and the charts I got today I love, but was disappointed in the way they are made; it's just a piece of paper; not even packaged in plastic like most are. When I got my Sergei pattern last week it was packaged so nicely; so I don't mind paying the extra money; it had a piece of cardboard and packed in nice plastic to protect the pattern. My Homespun Elegance wasn't packaged at all and both charts are bent some and those of you who order from 123 know they package their products well; it's not them. Ok I guess I've "bitched" enough for the day...LOL Thanks for listening ladies...:)

I stitched on my Feb word play for a few hours last night; I changed the color of the hearts from Roasted Marshmellow to Lambswool. The RM just wasn't showing up. So, I was planning on stitching all day; but I'm going to the dentist and then if I'm feeling better I may go to Joanns, I need some Valentine material.

I want to thank all you wonderful ladies for your sweet comments on my previous post..All the sweet words helped me to feel so much better. I've done some research on this and hopefully it's just something minor. I've talked to several women at work and around and it's amazing how many have had this done only to find nothing wrong. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and keep praying..:)

I got a pretty good start on my Feb Word Play last night. I really love this series; I just saw March's and love it. I already ordered it, but it won't ship til the 9th which is next week. This year is flying by so darn fast. I was hoping to stitch some before work this morning, but my friend Tracy who I ride with to work on Saturdays just text me she wants to buy me breakfast..lol who turns down a free meal?? LOL

Trying not to panic...

I went last week and had a ultra sound on my uterus; I've been having some pain and heavy bleeding; I just thought it was because I'm going thru menapause. My Dr. called me today and said I had some "adnormal growth" on the walls of my cervix and she wants to do a biopsy on my cervix. Of course the first thing that comes to mind is cancer. I asked her if that could be it and she said that's why they want to do the biopsy.

Now, she said the soonest she can get me in is March 19!!! About a month and a half away...I don't know why she wants me to wait so long; it's going to drive me crazy wondering for that long whats wrong..have any of you gone thru this and if so what happened? I don't think it's gonna be any fun..I think it's gonna hurt. :(

Think I'll go and stitch a little and get my mind off this mess...

A finish & stash..

When I got home from work I sat and picked up my Feb Cottage; and inbetween washing a load of towels and fixing supper I was able to finish my Cottage. I love this pattern and can't wait to "finish" it; I'm not quite sure yet how I'm gonna do this. Hopefully I will do this Saturday. :) That's the plan as of now..LOL But we all know how things change. Now I'm going to start my February Word Play; I got it all kitted up a few days ago; but started stitching it a few mins ago and don't like the material; so I'll be going thru my material in the morning to see if I have something else.

I recieved 1/2 of my recent order from 123 Stitch. I fell in love w/Sergei when I first saw him; but the more I've seen him stitched I had to order him. The rest of my order will ship the 3rd. Have you all seen the new patterns from Homespun Elegance? Oh My Goodness, I am in love with all of them...Well, it's 11:00 p.m. I think I'm gonna go to bed. Work was kind of busy today; only 4 more days to go til I'm off...LOL then I have a Dr. appt on Monday and a Dentist appt. on Tuesday..:( Night everyone....
