Waiting in the "wings"..

I finished A Spring Day today; I LOVE this so much; I decided to omit the stitched bee and used one of my JAB little bees; isn't he sweet?? Now I won't hear Kenny saying "you always buy those buttons and don't use them". LOL Silly man!! I think I'm going to start my March W.P. tomorrow; I should finish Febs tonight; I prob could have done it today but decided to watch "Waiting to Exhale" I haven't seen that movie in years and Kenny was working so I laid my butt on the couch and watched it and ate some Saltine crackers w/butter on them..LOL I love that snack.

Here's a picture of Rowdy chasing Baby in the house from the backyard. When we got her, her owner said she'd never been outside; she's declawed so he never let her; but when Kenny smokes he goes outside and she followed him out once and now she loves it out there; I know not to leave her but she's so scared out there she walks low to the ground and stays in our fenced back yard with one or both of us out there.

I'm making my Grandma Brewster's mac & cheese for dinner; it smells so good in here; but not from the mac & cheese!! I won a giveaway from Colleens Craft Shed a week ago and recieved my adorable doll and she included some cinnimon wax; which I am using today and our home smells wonderful. Thank you Colleen; I love her. I recieved my birthday stash today also..:) It was like Christmas...and I found someone who had the Busy Needle pattern and sold it to me...:) I think I'm going to use this for a "pay it forward" pattern so watch out for that sometime in the near future..I know several of us were looking for it and it's not available any longer. Well I gotta go finish supper...take care all..xo

Is it Monday???

I can't believe that the first of March is this week!!! Where is this year going?? I still haven't finished my Feb Word Play and am debating on rather I should just put it in the growing "unfinished pile" and start on March's or what to do?? I finished some model stitching I did for Renee @ Stitcher's Closet and got them put in the mail; I will post a picture when I'm able. They were too fun and cute.

Yesterday was my 51st Birthday. UGH!! I worked and they got me cupcakes and my friend Erin & her son Nick brought me in these beautiful roses; they are so pretty; and then when I got home Kenny had got me these beautiful daisies; I had told him my dad use to always get me daisies when he was alive; so he thought it'd be sweet to get me some; I got tears, and a cute card then he made me dinner; he cooks the most amazing pork chops, I actually ate 2. LOL My Daughter Ash & her hubby sent me a Michael Jackson concert video; I love Michael and am one of those who don't believe he did those horrible things to those kids; it was just people trying to get money. I could go on about that for days; the people who lie for money..unreal..Here's a cute pictue of "Baby" she's so funny..and Ash & Scarlett..I miss them so very much.

I am off work today and need to go to Walmart. Tomorrow I plan on going to the library; I don't have a printer and there are some "freebies" I've seen lately that I want to print off and then I think I'm going to go downtown to the Antique shops and look around; as long as I don't spend all my money at Walmart..ugh..I hate Walmart. Hope everyone had a great weekend...

Snow & new start..

I woke to snow yesterday; but the time the snow ended we had 6 inches, it's almost all gone today; living in Colorado is crazy; Wednesday it was 70 yesterday snow and 30 and today it was about 45. I think we have more snow coming in on Monday.

One of the cooks at work brought some strawberries into work and made a few of us ladies some little deserts; this is a picture of what he made for me; it's strawberry roses and then he cut up 3 other ones and put carmel & chocolate on them; it really made my day. I did share with one of the other girls who didn't get any. LOL. I wish I had a plate of them right now. I went to Captain D's and brought home some fish for dinner; I think it was a little too greasy for me. I can tell I'm getting PMS; cramps and the "bitch-mode" is slowly moving in..lol poor Kenny. I hope when I get my biopsy done; they will decide to do a hyster. (can't spell it)

I started this little spring picture last night, I still am working on the model; I should be able to get it in the mail to her Monday. I have a couple "goodie" boxes to get in the mail Monday. :) Hope everyone is able to get some stitching done this weekend..

TULSA

I can't believe it's time to post our TULSA again, this year is flying by, the older I get the faster time goes. I'll be 51 on Sunday...yuck..LOL Oh well. I've been doing my model stitching all day; I finished one and got about 1/4 done with the second, I hope to have it done by Thursday.

I went with Kenny to the hospital yesterday, he had to get some blood work done and while I was waiting I went by the little coffee shop and they had all these "goodies" that the girl had just put out; it was so hard to pick just one...I got the Raspberry treat, I only hate 1/2 and saved the rest of Kenny; it was soooo darn good. It should be for $2.00!! I didn't think they'd be that much; but at least it was good. :)

Not much else going on; I kind of got the "blahs" today, not quite sure why. I made Chili Mac for dinner and it was delicious; Kenny had 3 bowls. LOL I pack him some for his lunch tomorrow and I have enough for myself for lunch; I don't have to leave for work til 3:00 tomorrow; I get paid and can't get my check til 3, so I'll leave early and get my check and cash it, pay the electric and water and put the rest in my account; I have a $50 order ready to send off at 123 Stitch..:) Happy Birthday to me...LOL

A must have....

I went to Walmart after work yesterday and had to check out the magazines and came across this beauty! It's a "must have" girls, so hurry to Walmart and snatch this one up; it's a little expensive ($9.95) but soooooo worth it; I sat and looked at it for over an hour last night and am planning on looking & reading it today. I have my Grandma Brewsters hankies and have been wanting to do something special with them and when I saw the cover w/the curtains made from vintage hankies I knew I had to buy it; it's full of all kinds of neat ideas.

I did stitch some for the Hermit stitching, but I can't show any pictures (yet), I'm stitching a few models for Stitcher's Closet and can't share yet. But I sure am having fun stitching these, it's nice to stitch something other than Pumpkins & Christmas stuff, LOL Don't get me wrong I LOVE Halloween, it's prob my favorite holiday, but the brighter colours are such a relief.

I skyped with the girls this morning; as always we had a nice visit; I thank god for Skype, I don't know if I could make it with them in Germany without it. I'm off work today and tomorrow and switched shifts w/a girl at work so I am working nights Wednesday and don't have to be there til 4:30 Wednesday night. :) Kenny has a Dr. appt today so I guess I better get in the shower and get ready to go with him, maybe I can talk him into stopping at the Antique shops downtown, but prob not; I think I'll just wait and go alone tomorrow; he hurries thru. LOL

Look what was waiting for me...

I won a giveaway by Marly at Samplers & Santas a week ago and came home from a very hard day at work to this wonderful surprise..:) She wrapped my charts in this cute tissue w/the cuties santa card attached. I'd won the 3 PS Santa books which I don't have any of them, and she was so sweet to include 3 other Santa patters, which I also don't have.. I absolutly LOVE all of them, now I have the hard task of choosing which one to stitch first..lol Thank you again Marly, your too sweet..

I work today and we were so busy. Which is a good thing. LOL I'm going to sit and stitch some now before I go to bed, I'm stitching a model so I can't post any stitchy pictures this weekend, I may stitch on something for myself also and if I do I'll post that..Hope everyone is being a "hermit" and stitching the weekend away; I think for the next hermit stitching weekend I'm going to request it off from work and just sit home and stitch all weekend; wouldn't it be nice to be able to go out of town and get a hotel room and just stitch all weekend..alone?? Humm, I may have to save up and do that for myself some weekend, or if anyone lives in Colorado and wants to join me we could meet up in Denver and go to LNS there and just stitch....any takers???

A finish...

I wanted to stitch this with the lamb instead of the cardinal; but it was such a fun stitch I think I'm going to stitch it again w/the cardinal for my mom. I used Wisper thread in white for the lamb and really loved how it turned out. I wish I could take a better picture for you all to see how cute this turned out.

I'm stitching a couple models this weekend. Their really cute and I can't wait to stitch them; I'll post a picture when I can. I may stitch on my Feb Word Play also; I'll have to wait and see how much time I have.

Of course here are more pics of Scareltt, she's adorable; but of course I am her grandma. :) A very proud grandma.
