Finally....

I finished stitching the 40 leaves last night and pulled out Part 3 and what do I find??? Yes, more darn LEAVES!! Only a few more though..lol I ordered some Wisper thread this morning from Mary Janes to stitch the sheep with; I love how they look stitched w/Wisper thread; I had a little left from a Bent Creek kit I had and stitched a ornament & used the Wisper thread for the sheep on it. I think I may have to start something for the 4th of July later today. I finished my June Cottage; I also ordered some tiny black beads; I think I'm going to stitch those on the strawberries instead of the french knots..

My nephew Tyler and his girlfriend Jenna graduated from Ohio State this past weekend; I hate living far away from family and missing important events. He's now a 2nd Lt. In the U.S. Air Force; he's going to be a navigator on bomber planes and is doing some of his training here in Pueblo, Colorado in July for 3 months...:) I'm so excited he'll be here when the state fair is here..

Kenny lost his job last week; so now he's out job hunting with 10000+ other people, I'm mad at him for getting fired; he was a phone rep and got in a argument with another phone rep that called him and they let him go; he'd missed some work due to medical issues and they couldn't let him go for that, so I think they were just looking for a reason to fire him; so I guess my stash shopping will be cut back some for a while. :( Don't know how were gonna make it on my waitressing job; but we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Life always throws us a curve once in a while huh?

Todays my only day off this week; I picked up some extra shifts and I don't feel like doing much at all except stitch. Here is a little stash I'd ordered before I knew he lost his job..on the bright side I won a giveaway over at Granny Traces Scrapes & Squares and I recieved my prize today in the mail...I won some beautiful felt strawberries Trace made that are beautiful; she has it packaged so cute I don't want to open it..lol she included some buttons and some recipe cards..thank you so much hun...I'm going to get a mason jar and put my strawberries and thread spools you sent me..I'll post a picture when I get it all done..I also had ordered a cute scissor fob from Strawberry Lane, I got it today also..she did a wonderful job. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and gets some stitching time in..

A new start & a finish..

I finished working on May's Word Play, I wanted to start Junes but it just shipped today from 123 Stitch; love that place..but it's really not good for my Visa..LOL since I didn't have June's Word Play I decided to stitch on my June's Cottage and I'm so glad I did; it's so much fun to work on; love the strawberries..

I was looking thru my old posts on here; funny how time goes by so quickly when were older; look at my darling granddaughter Scarlett..for those of you who are new to my blog, this is Miss. Scarlett on the heading of my blog; she's my joy, she lives in Germany w/her mommy (my daughter) & her daddy, her daddy is serving in the Army and I'm so proud of him; he's such a good son in law; he takes very good care of my girls. I have a grandson also; his name is Hayden and he's 16, him and his mother are coming to stay with me and Kenny anyday now and were very happy to have them..

I came home from work the other day and look the mess I found in the bathroom...now who do you think did this??? Well, here's the culpret!! Bear..he's growing up fast also..Well I'm going to go and stitch on my strawberries; hopefully I'll get it all done before June's Word Play gets here and maybe I can "finish" them both before July!! LOL

Will the leaves ever stop!!!

OMGosh, these leaves are killing me; I ran out of my WDW's Kudzu and had 2 new skeins look at the HUGE difference in the colours..luckly the other skein matched better. I can't wait to finish these leaves; I would have finished them tonight but I stitched the other blue bird and stitching over 1 on 40ct on the beak and legs made my eyes hurt. lol

Works been busy; I waited on two very nice couples on their way to a motorcycle ride in New Mexico from Jersey; the guy said he's "shipped" their motorcycles out earlier in the week and they flew into Denver and rented a car and are driving to the rally..why couldn't I have married a rich, nice man like this?? They were my age; and I was thinking how my life hasn't turned out how I planned at all; I mean at 51 I never thought I would be waiting tables; even though I am a very good waitress it's so hard on my body; I have aches and pains like you wouldn't believe. I'm not with the "love of my life". I guess I need to quit b$#*hing and just be happy I have a job..so many people would give anything to have my job...I think it's just about PMS time...can you tell??? LOL

I went thru my stitching basket by my chair last night and came across this "oldies but goodie" I wanted to finish it to enter in the Colorado State Fair last year and didn't get it done; so I pulled it back out and will shoot for this year..:) Wish me luck..I'm still working on Mays Word Play; I stitched on it on Saturday and on the Mystery Sampler on Sunday; so I did get some stitching in on IHSW weekend. Here's my TULSA for this month; time is going by so fast.

Ashley had sent my Mother's Day card out before Mother's Day and I just got it today!! But it did come all the way from Germany; It made me cry; she has Scarletts handprints on it and made a little cutout from her hands that forms a heart; I'm going to Hobby Lobby to get a frame to put the hands in..me and Kenny went to Walmart; he needed a new yard trimmer and I looked in the craft section because I've read on some blogs where Walmart got their dmc back; so I looked and low and behold there is a whole section of cross stitch stuff!!! I was so happy...

Were both off on Mondays; he's out tearing up the yard..lol and I'm just sitting here catching up on reading everyones blogs; I think were gonna have Taco Salad for dinner; it's easy and quick to make and I don't really feel like cooking. Tomorrow I'm making Tricia Yearwoods Crock-pot Mac & Cheese; I made it a few weeks ago and it is delicious!! Hope you all are doing well and stitching your fingers off..lol

Lt. Dan Band....

Hi, we have a Wild West Festival in town this weekend; PBR headquarters is here in Pueblo. Rock & Steel came to Pueblo today; a piece of steel from the World Trade Center came here and Gary Sinease (sp) from CSI & Forrest Gump (he was Lt. Dan) has a WONDERFUL band put together. They played old rock; Journey, Doobie Brothers, some country, a little bit of everything and I have to say if they come your way please go see them. We went and had a "slopper" for dinner and then walked around the festival and went to the concert; it was a free concert and held outside, it was a beautiful night.

I received my order from 123 Stitch today. I just love this Strawberry Sampler and can't wait to start it, I'm almost done w/May Word Play; it's such a fun stitch. I'll share a photo of it tomorrow. It's 11:55 p.m. guess I better get some sleep; I gotta work tomorrow.

Well, "Maybe" I'll finish the May Word Play before June that is!!! LOL I started this a few days ago and really love working on it; but I'm losing my "mojo"..I hate when we go thru this, it seems to happen every once in a while; I think when your on a "dead-line" finishing a gift, or exchange piece you get burnt out and that's what happened to me. I'm going to sit and stitch for about 15 mins when I'm done posting and see if I can snap myself outta it.

On the home front; my oldest daughter Heather and grandson Hayden (16) are coming to stay with us until she gets a job and gets on her feet; it's just not working out for them in Montrose, CO. We have a small 2 bedroom house, I guess my craft room will have to be put on the back burner for a while. I don't think they'll be long prob a few months. I don't mind at all and Kenny seems to be okay with it. He has to understand; no matter where I am in my life or whats going on when my girls need a home they will always have one with me; even if I'm living in a box under a bridge..lol (that'll never happen but just saying..) My parents were always there for me when I was younger and me and Heather's dad broke up I remember calling them crying (I was in Colorado and they were in Ohio), my dad asked "do you wanna come home sis?" and I said "yeeesss", and there was a plane ticket waiting for me the next day; I'm the same with my girl. Ashley and Torry went walking around their little town outside the Post yesterday and Scarlett had lots of fun; thought I'd share some pic with you. I also took advantage of Sandra's special (Homespun Elegance) sale she had last week and ordered 3 books I've been admiring, she even included a little gold star I need for one of the designs, Thank you Sandra...:) Well, off to stitch (hopefully) Have a wonderful day...

Happy Mother's Day & Stash...

I want to wish all you ladies out there a very Happy & safe Mother's Day..I have to work..:( it's the busiest day of the year and I can guarantee you all that I will be dragging a*$ tomorrow night..lol (I'm a waitress) and I have a GREAT order ready to be sent off first thing Monday morning. :)

I have wanted these two charts for a very long time and went on Mary Janes site the other day and they were on sale for $5 each, it was a "sign" I had to have them..lol now I can't wait to get started. I ordered the threads for them weeks ago thinking I was going to order them then; but I couldn't at the time. I like when the shops have the called for threads posted so we can order them and not have to wait til we get the charts and then have to wait to order the threads.

Here's a picture of mom's gift; it'll be a few days late..I'm always running late these days. The white spots are sun shining thru the blinds; it looks like something on the material; but it's just the sun. I'm going to the Dr. on Monday; I'm going to see if I can get some meds for my mood swings; they have gotten pretty bad lately. This menapause is going to be the death of me yet..or of Kenny...lol Here's a picture of my adorable grandbaby Scarlett; with a "pudding face"..I'm planning on going over to Germany this year I just haven't decided when exactly I'll be able to go.
