What a day!!!

I ended up going to the emergency room today; when I woke up I couldn't hardly move; my sciac nerve flaired up, I had to call off work; the Dr. gave me a work release slip to be off for 2 days; but I can't afford to lose two days. I picked up a double shift on Saturday to make up for missing today. I haven't felt like stitching today; I just kind of kicked back and relaxed the rest of the day. Me and Kenny went to a friends birthday party Saturday; and Marcy took this picture of me and Kenny; I think it turned out pretty good. Well, I'm off to bed; meds are kicking in. LOL

Couldn't sleep last night...

I couldn't sleep last night; I was looking thru some blogs and some free sites and came across this adorable picture w/the blue bird; my printer is out of ink and it looked like it would stitch up pretty quickly; so I started stitching it around 11 p.m. and finished it at 1:20 a.m. LOL ; using the computer. I just propped it up on the arm of my stitching chair and stitched from it. I don't have a digital camera; so the photos I take are from my web cam; and it's not too good of quality, I stitched this on 28ct. linen and used my choice of Gentle Arts threads and DMC. I don't know how I'll finish it yet, I'll decide that today. I am off work today and slept til noon!!! Which is crazy for me; I never sleep past 8. Gonna go start a breadcloth for an exchange.

Great News!!

I went to the mall today; we are getting a JoAnne Fabrics in July; well they were doing a job fair; I filled out an application and talked to the store manager; and we hit it off great, she hired me on the spot!! I start June 21, the store opens July 16. I told her I really wanted to work in the cross stitch area and she put it on the top of my application and said it wouldn't be a problem... I don't know if this will be a good thing or not!! LOL Things at work have been so slow; and with Kenny prob going to move out soon; I need extra income and this was a blessing. It really made my day....

Just another day in paradise!!! NOT!! LOL

Not too much going on. My DD Ashely; had her Dr. appt and Scarlett is doing great; she has to go to the Dr's every two weeks now. Scarlett is due Aug 14. Me and Kenny aren't doing well at all. I think it's over this time. But I'm ok with it; were just two totally different people; who want different things in life. I'm a big girl; I'll be just fine. :) I haven't been stitching in a few days; to much stress around here to relax and stitch. I was accepted to join the Lizzie Kate Exchange blog; that made my day yesterday; I think that will be a lot of fun. I've also been in touch with a few on line shops about doing some model stitching for them in exchange for "stash" LOL, and one says she even has a designer who wants to talk to me; they would pay me. But I'm not too sure about stitching for money? I don't want it to seem like I "have" to stitch you know? But on the other hand; being paid to do what I love would be great. What do you all think?

Movie Night

Ashley & Torry came over and we watched "Daybreakers"; it was dumb; way too violent for me; but the guys seemed to like it. I worked and then went and got my nails done; came home and stitched on my bluebird for a few minutes; just not in the mood to stitch tonight. Not much to say; gonna go take a shower and go to bed; I have to work tomorrow; and Sundays are awlful; it's like people go to church and make their piece w/god and then they are rude. LOL At least some of the customers that come into the restaurant where I work are like that.

Stupid car!!!

Last night Kenny & I were going to go for a drive and the car wouldn't start, he tried everything; then this AM he played around with it (like men do LOL) and now it will start. I guess "someone" wanted us to stay home last night. LOL. I stitched A LOT yesterday; I finished my magnet for an exchange; I'll post a picture once she gets it, and my halloween RR (posted picture) and started my Blackbird Design "Bluebird", it's such a fun and quick stitch; I'm really enjoying it; I am using Gentle Arts thread in Blue Jay, I'm stitching it for my mom; I asked her to send me a couple of buttons from my grandma & dad's clothing she still has; and I'll stitch those buttons on it. I have to work soon; so I guess I better get in the shower.

I stitched a little this morning before I went to work; I just have a little more on the boarder to do and I'll be done w/my Halloween RR. YEA!! Then I can start on the Blackbird Design, "Bluebird". I've been wanting to do this picture for a while now; and bought the pattern Monday on my stash run. I think I'll use Gentle Arts thread, I'm going to make it into a pillow for my mom I think. I'll prob end up doing one for myself as well. I need to get a breadcloth done also by the end of the month for an exchange. I was going to join another RR; but I think I'll just do one at a time; I want to get my Christmas Orns. started early this year. I'm off work tomorrow; I don't think were going to do anything; just get some R&R. Kenny's off work also.
