Look what I came home to!!!

I came home from the grocery store and saw the box sitting on my front porch; and almost forgot the groceries; well, actually I let Kenny unload the car and I went to get my package...

Have you ever had problems stitching a certain design????

Because I have NEVER in my 25+ years of stitching had the problems w/a picture like I"m having with this model I"m stitching. It's a Fluer Cross and just done w/white DMC floss and I've had to frog twice; and noticed I have to take out another 3 rows this morning. If it was for me I'd just say (you know what) LOL and go around my mistake; but it's for a designer and going to be the cover of the book. I'd put a picture of it on here; but don't know if I"m "allowed" to??? This is the first time I've stitched for them.

Kenny went to the junk yard and got a new passenger window for my car and he replaced it; saved me about $90; but I still need to replace the windshield; that's $150. I'll do that on the 22 when I get paid. Work was awlful; I waited (I'm a waitress) on the rudest group of 13 people I've EVER waited on in my 20 years of waitressing. Ruined my whole day; I actually went in the bathroom and cried. and I don't cry easy. Well I think I'll go work on that picture; and pray I don't find anymore mistakes.

Not a good day at all!!

Well, yesterday Kenny used my car because his car is in the shop getting a new motor; he took our dog down to the river to swim; like we always do, he parked in the designated parking area and when he left to come pick me up from work; someone had broken the passenger window; cracked my windshield w/ a rock and stole his wallet and pack of cigs that were under the driver seat. Why someone would do something so senceless is beyond my understanding. It's going to cost us $375 to fix the windows; my insurance deduct. is $500 so that doesn't help me out; but he won't ever replace the pictures of his kids and grandkids.

I stayed up til 1:00 putting "death curses" on the punks that did this. LOL; well, maybe not "death" but hateful things. I'm sure if Kenny would have caught them what I have planned for them would have been a walk in the park. Kennys a big guy; 6'5, 250lbs. He was pretty mad; I cried; as us women do when something like this happens; so I won't be buying any new stash for a while now. :( That's enough to make me cry again.

"Friendship" SAL Update

This is my first SAL. :) I've been stitching all day... I worked on my model piece all afternoon and then I made supper; Ashley and her DH came over and ate and visited a little and then I started my SAL; now it's bedtime. My eyes need a break. LOL

Can't believe it's August already!!!

Where has this year gone too? Time to make out the bills for this month and barely just got done paying last months. LOL It's a never ending cycle isn't it? We had a little surprise baby shower last night for Ashley; it was nice. I'm off work today and don't know for sure what I'm going to do yet? I need to clean the bathroom and mop the kitchen; as for stitching; well I've been stitching this model for a designer and made a mistake and had to "frog" about 6 rows (twice) on Saturday; so needless to say I haven't stitched this weekend. I was so discouraged; I'm having a real hard time with the fabric; I'm not sure what count it is; they didn't tell me; but it's so hard to see. I am suppose to start a SAL from one of my Yahoo groups; so maybe I'll work on that today. Hope everyone's having a great summer.

I'm bored...

Well another slow day at work; hopefully it'll be busier tomorrow. I need to make a car payment and cable payment. This year is going by so darn fast; it's almost August already; where has this year gone to? I'll be 50 in 7 months. :( LOL. I sure don't feel like an old wine that gets better with age. LOL I finished my little blackbird last night. I think he turned out cute; I need to work on a model I'm stitching for a designer and I have to do a "fall stocking" for someone in my blackbird yahoo group. I can't wait to do that one!! I mailed off my LK exchange gift and will post a picture as soon as I can. She should receive it by Thursday or Friday. I hope she likes it; I'm just learning how to "finish" my work in different ways than framing. It's fun; My mom is coming to visit over Labor Day and bringing me my Aunt Lee's sewing machine; so I'll be a "pillow making fool".. LOL I think I'll go start my stocking. I need better light to stitch the model;

Just relaxing and stitching a little.

Off work today and just spending a little time getting some R&R; I started stitching Bent Creek's Red Winged Blackbird. I've wanted to do this for some time now and decided to stitch it real quick today; I'm not quite sure how I'm going to finish it? Any ideas?? Things are a little tense around the house; I just wish Aug 7 would hurry and get here; I want Kenny to leave and want to be alone until Ash & Scarlett move in, this September; then who knows when I'll have alone time. LOL No complaints though; I can't wait for my new granddaughter to get here. I haven't "loved" on a baby for so long. There's nothing like holding a precious little angle while they sleep. :) COME ON SCARLETT; GRANDMA'S WAITING!!! xo
