Stash, baking & of course Miss. Scarlett

I have had a problem for a few days on downloading pictures from Ashley's camera; then tonight it worked. I went to my LNS and bought some new stash; and also had ordered some threads. Tonight I hear lots of laughter coming from my kitchen and my two daughters are baking!! Now, you have to know these 2 to appricate this. They were making "Snickerdoodles".

I give the cookies a 10 for taste; they are delicious; but only a 4 for appearance. LOL!! And of course Miss Scarlett; my little Steeler's baby. I just adore her; I love being a grandma more than just about anything.

Boring day...

I had to work today; we were pretty busy. I'm tired; I came home and Heather (oldest DD) had warmed up left overs from last nights dinner; I ate and then took a hot bath and put a load of clothes in the washer; I was suppose to be off work tomorrow; but my boss asked if I could come in for a few hours. What could I say? So, I told him yes. I don't have another day off till next Saturday.

I don't think I'll be stitching for a few days; after the challenge I need a little break. LOL It was such fun to stitch different things for 15 days. Yesterday I watched my Steeler's beat Baltimores butts!!! Now, next week we have to play the Jets and then were going to the Superbowl!!! AGAIN!! This will be #7 if were lucky enough to make it; I had Scarlett in her little Steeler's cheerleader dress; but the dumb camera won't download pictures on my computer now??? Maybe if just needs charged.

LOL I'm going to my LNS on Monday to get some CC & WDW threads and of course to see if they've gotten anything in new. Like I need more to stitch. I am still stitching on Pumpkin Holllow Farm tonight; it's start #15 and I am really enjoying it. I maynot be able to put this one down.

Day 10.

Well, Ashley asked if I would stitch her and Torry a wedding sampler like I did for my husband (Ricky) and myself. :) She's never really asked me to stitch something for her; so I had to change my crazy challenge list and started her "Two shall be as one" by Lizzie Kate. I'm stitching it on 32 Ct joblin; so it's gonna be a little bigger than mine; I stitched mine on I believe 18Ct. It was before I stitched on linen. I am still married; we've been separated for about 3 years; but were starting to talk again. I've known Ricky since I was 19; we have a long history and he is the love of my life. Someday I'll catch all of you up on that. LOL

We fed Scarlett Carrots today; that was a lot of fun; Ashley and Heather laugh at me because I am "snap challenged" with Scarletts pj's; well the other night I gave her a bath and put her jammies on and when Ashley went by her crib; low and behold her legs were somehow "free" LOL.

Day 9 and I won!!!

What a day; work was really slow; which sucks, Ashley's husband Torry got his orders (he's in the Army) their going to Germany.. :( and taking Miss. Scarlett with them, I can't even begin to think of that. I told Ashley that they don't allow babies in Germany and she'd have to stay with her grandma, but she doesn't believe me. LOL

I did have some great news though, I won the giveaway at Prairie Grove Peddler, I won her newest candle mat; with hearts; it's beautiful!! So, I decided for my start today would be my red house candle mat from PGP and it's gonna be such a fun stitch.

It's snowing like crazy out; were suppose to get 5 inches; I hope so; I'm off work tomorrow and I think this calls for a "pajama day", filled with stitching and making homemade chili all day. I'll let it cook all day in my new crock pot the kids got me for Christmas. Night all....

Days 7 & 8

I hope everyones having a good month so far. We are expecting to get some snow tomorrow and Monday; which is good for me; I'm off on Monday and Tuesday. We don't get much snow here in Pueblo, Co. We really need the moisture.

It's been a pretty quiet day/evening; I worked til 4 and went to the grocery store, then home and made my grandma's spaghetti for supper, did the dishes, played a little poker on facebook, and stitched; we watched "wipeout" and an episode of "ellen" we had recorded on the DVR.

I am really enjoying the "crazy challenge"; it's fun to finally start some of the projects I just "had to have". LOL I had this banding and decided to stitch a "Welcome" sign; I'm going to have to order some bellpull hardware to finish it; and in the tulip pic; I am using the called for GA threads, the material I choose has more of a pink tint to it than whats called for it's 32 ct. I'm going to finish it into a pillow. Hope everyone has a good Sunday; I have to work.
