Sorry I've been MIA..

I haven't posted in a while; but I do read all your blog updates daily; I just haven't been in the "mood" to chat I guess. LOL Still adjusting to the girls being in Texas; it's time to just let it go and move on. I could go on about it; but it's not doing me any good. For those of you who are new to my blog; my daughter Ashley took my Granddaughter Scarlett to Texas to "visit" her dad for 2 weeks and decided to stay there til she joins her hubby in Germany. I won't go into details but it really hurt me. Enough of this....

This is part of my other daughter Heather's birthday gift; I'm making her an "Important Box", I need to go to Hobby Lobby and find a box to paint and then attach this on top. It's gonna be so cute; I may even make one for myself. :) I started Home of a Needleworker 2 and haven't stitched on it for a few days, I am going to do that today. I'm off work and have decided today is going to be a "jammy" day for me since I'm off work and did all my errand running yesterday; it's almost noon and I'm still in my P.J.'s. LOL so why should I change now??

I ordered the Birds of a Feather Mystery Sampler from Down Sunshine Lane on Friday and recieved it today; I thought I had ordered the 35 Ct. material to go with it; but didn't so I hurried and ordered it today and should get it by Thursday. Then I can get started; it's going to be beautiful.. I hope everyone is safe and stitching a lot; I know the tornados in the south are horrible this year.

A little stitching...

I havent stitched that much this weekend; I worked all weekend and we were so slow. I hate when it's slow; the time goes by so much slower. I'm still pretty depressed over Scarlett & Ash being gone; it'll just take some time; the bad part is she still has to come back to meet the movers before going to Germany. And I'll have to go thru this all over again.

I started this picture out of my Stitchers Journal by BBD for my oldest daughter Heathers birthday June 3. I have an "important" box that I've had for as long as I can remember; I put silly little things in it that mean a lot to me; like I have the card from the flowers my dad sent me in 1979 when I had my gallblatter out; I was only 17 and it was a major surgery at the time, all my grandparents glasses, my dads glasses movie stubs; cards the girls made for me in school, scareltts hat from the hospital; my hospital bands from when I had my girls; you get the idea. Mine is a Sketchers shoe box. LOL I'm going to Joanns ad see if they have a wooded box; I want to colour it dark blue and sand it to make it look worn; and put this picture on the top of the lid. I think she'll love it. And these are my violets; their blooming like crazy.

I'm off work tomorrow and hope to get this finished up; then I'll start something for me; I haven't decided yet what to do?? Take care all.

And I'd also like to thank everyone who left me a sweet message on my last post; I've really had a tough few days w/lots of tears. I'm going to try and "pull it together". I'm going to stitch and try and stay off this computer. LOL Sometimes I spend way too much time on here.

If anyone wants to I'm going to start Home of a Needleworker 2 tomorrow and would love to do a SAL. I love them. I will post pictures as I go and would love to see your progress as well; it can be either chart; one or two. I'm going to go stitch. :) and shake this mood off....Hugs back to all of you..

Sad day...:(

Ashley went to Texas to "visit" her dad for 2 weeks and she told me today she is going to stay til she leaves for Germany. :( He has horses (which she loves) and she loves it down there. She's bored here w/me I guess. I'm pretty hurt over this.

Those of you who follow me know what Scarlett means to me and I cherish every day I had with her; I knew she was going to Germany; but it's different. Those of you who are Grandmas know how I feel; I cried off and on all day and am tearing up writing this to you all. My heart is just broken. I always thought me and Ashley were close; we've done so much together thru her growing up; I guess I shouldn't be complaining; but it feels good to "vent". I love Ashley and Scarlett very much and want them happy; I guess it just hurts she's happier there.

On the bright side; LOL Tomorrow I'm having my 100 follower drawing; good luck everyone; it's gonna be a good prize. :)

Goodies in the mail....

I came home from work yesterday and there was 2 packages waiting for me. :) I did a Spring exchange with Karen and this is the goodie package she sent; she stitched me this adorable sheep pillow w/matching pin cushion with 3 beautiful stick pins, some Dinky Dye threads, I've never used them before and I can't wait to use them, along w/cute frog sticky notes & a cute stuffed rabbit; it was a very sweet package and I LOVE everything, Thank you so much Karen; I"m mailing yours out tomorrow :)

Then I'm in a LK exchange and recieved this absolutly beautiful pillow from Lynn, Thank you so very much; I wish I could sew and finish pillows like this. It's so pretty and I can't express howmuch I love it.

Thank you ladies, you made my whole weekend....

New Threads & TULSA

I recieved my threads and 4 tulip buttons from Stitching Bits & Bobs today. It was nice to come home from work and have "goodies" waiting for me. I went to work and then on the way home I went by the post office and mailed off moms gifts. They'll get there Saturday.

She's gonna love them. :) It's so quiet with the girls gone; I was hungry and didn't know what to make; so I made some thin spaghetti noodles, cooled them off by running them under cold water, added black olives, cucumber, tomato and a little red onion and tossed with italian dressing with a dash of garlic salt and it was delicious. I have enough for tomorrow; I may stop and get some pepperoni and add to it along w/small chunks of chedddar cheese.

Also, here is my TULSA for May; can you believe how fast this year is going? It's already May!! I'm going to stitch on my Tulip House Stitching Companion from Stitchers Journal; I started it the other day; it's a quick stitch and is gonna be so cute.

Ashley just sent me these and I had to share with you all. :) They went horseback riding today and Ashley said Scarlett loved it. Ash was raised on a horse, she is a very good rider, she use to do Barrel Racing and still would love to. Love Scarletts hat. LOL
