Stash & I gotta get caught up...

I recieved my latest order from DSL and part 2 of Birds of a Feather. I can't wait to do it; but I have to finish part 1 first. I stitched on it for a little over an hour last night, I probabley won't stitch tonight; I worked a double today and I just want to shower and go to bed. Tomorrow is my "Friday"; I don't have any plans for Monday or Tuesday so maybe I can get the boarder done or at least close to it.

I love this Cherry Hill design; I don't know exactly when I'll get to it; I just added it to my ever growing stash pile. LOL And I want to get all the CC, GA, WDW colours (someday); so for now I just order a few at a time and my threads stash is growing pretty good. When Stitching Bits & Bobs has their sale and their only about $1.68 each I usually get about 20 of them. Hope everyone has a nice evening. I'm going to go shower and hit the sack...:)

Just to say hi..

I'm going to have an extremely busy weekend and just wanted to say hi, I probabley won't be blogging much this weekend; I have to work a double tomorrow and Saturday and then work Father's Day. Since I lost my dad almost 6 years ago; I really don't celebrate the day; I couldn't even work it until last year; I thought if I can't wish my dad a HFD then I'm not wishing anyone else one.

On the stitching front; I'm still working on Birds of a Feathers Mystery Stitch; I should get part 2 tomorrow; I ordered it I believe on Monday. I'm about 1/2 way done with part 1; it's just been too damn hot here to even stitch at night. Our A/C hasn't been working very well; and it was over 95 yesterday and suppose to be 101 today. I HATE HOT WEATHER!! I wish I knew where I could live where it's about 55-65 all year round. LOL Hope everyone has a safe a HFD with the men you love. :)

A little stitching & Scarlett..

I have a little more stitched on my Mystery Stitch than is in this photo; I just haven't updated the picture; I'll do that tomorrow; I'm off tomorrow and plan on just colouring my hair and stitching. :) Nature keeps trying to change my hair colour and I disagree!! LOL

Me & Kenny went to the mall; I had to go to Joann's and get some floss. Then we went to Country Buffet for lunch; I spent $3 trying to get a "Steelers" sticker out of the stupid machine and never did :(. Then we just came on home. He's been here a week and has a job interview at the local newspaper; were keeping our fingers crossed they hire him; jobs are so tough; I know I complain about mine a lot, but I'm thankful to have it.

Ashley sent me some pictures of Scarlett; she's eatting some cake and I thought it was cute; and here she is in her first cowgirl hat. I miss her so very, very much. I finally finished Heather's "Important Box", it turned out pretty nice; I loved using the chenille trim; it was so easy to work with and turned out good I think. I think I'm going to go and stitch some before bedtime. Hope everyone is well.

TULSA, Stitching & Sad News..

Kenny arrived Friday; it's been kind of "different"; we'll just give it some time. Then Saturday night I was in the shower and heard my dog barking so I got out and Kenny was outside w/our neighbor (it was like 11:30 p.m.) and came up holding our cat "Mickey"; he'd been hit and killed by a car and they never even stopped or looked for the owner :( We've had him since he was born, he didnt have a tail at all!!! And had quite the personality. LOL I miss him dearly and cried almost all night and still get tears; I'm so thankful Kenny was here to get him out of the road and bury him for me. It's so funny how attached to our pets we get.

On the stitching front, I stitched a lot on my "Home of a Needleworker 2 on Saturday night (before I knew about Mickey) and I have my Birds of a Feather ready to begin today; I can't wait to get it started; I'd run out of CC's "Weeping Willow" for Home of a Needleworker and ordered another one from 123 Stitch and it came Saturday and is totally different; I'm not quite sure how I'm going to use it now, it looks like a totally different colour. (frown)

Sorry I'm late on posting my TUSAL... Hope everyone has a good week; it's so darn dry and hot here in Pueblo, Colorado; I'm hating life and will be for the next few months; I HATE summer!! and the hot weather...YUCK!!

Stitching update & a little talkin...

I worked today; but we were kind of slow; those of you who have been following my blog probabley remember my not so "ex-boyfriend" Kenny, we broke up last September and he went back to Oregon; well we've been talking for sometime and have decided to give it another try. I don't know if I'm making a mistake or not; we got along ok, he's a lot of fun and a lot of laughs; he just is "different" than I am; I don't really know how to explain it to you all. I'm at a loss for words; he's 5 years younger than me; but that doesn't really matter or factor into anything. I just hope I'm not going back to him because I'm lonely, which I really am since Ashley decided to stay in Texas. I miss Scarlett so very much; I really became attached to her, more than I should have. For those of you that are new Scarlett is my darling Granddaughter who lived with me since she was about a month old until last month; when her and her mommy went to visit Ashleys dad in Texas; he has some horses and Ashley loves horses and she decided to stay. I still have Scarletts stuff; her crib, clothes and all Ashleys stuff also. I'm packing Ashleys stuff up tomorrow so Kenny can use that dresser.

He'll be here Friday. So I guess we'll just wait and see what happens? Life is so fun sometimes isn't it? It's what you make of it. I don't know why I'm just blabbing on and on...lol

As for stitching; I haven't today; But did yesterday; I'm still working on Home of a Needleworker 2, it's been a lot of fun and I hope to finish it soon. Hope everyone is having good weather; it was 102 here today; I HATE, HATE, HATE hot weather; I hope this summer goes by fast.....

Stitching & Stash

Hi, hope everyone is having a fun and safe weekend. I worked all weekend; but I'm off the next 2 days, I plan on doing a lot of stitching. I need to go to Joanna's tomorrow and get a little wooden box for Heathers Bday gift; her Bday is the 3rd; I can't wait to use my chenille trim :). I'll be sure to post a picture.

Here is a little stash I ordered from 123 Stitch; and then the Mystery Sampler and material & threads from DSL. I love both of these sites; they always fill your order so quickly. I am starting my Mystery Sampler maybe later tonight; I plan on staying up late tonight. We'll just see if my body will agree with me. LOL We were so slow all weekend and that makes the day go by so slow. This is my "Home of a Needleworker 2" it's such a fun stitch; I love the colours..

Here's a picture of Scarlett at the beach in Texas. I don't know when they'll be home; sometime before they leave for Germany; I hope it's soon; I know it's so hard on them being apart as a family. Torry's missed so much of Scarlett growing up. That's the military life. My dad, ex hubby, & brother were all in the service. Have a safe and happy holday....Oh, I was having so much trouble w/bloggger; it wouldn't even let me sign on for days. I was getting so mad; hopefully they fixed whatever was broken...

Sorry I've been MIA..

I haven't posted in a while; but I do read all your blog updates daily; I just haven't been in the "mood" to chat I guess. LOL Still adjusting to the girls being in Texas; it's time to just let it go and move on. I could go on about it; but it's not doing me any good. For those of you who are new to my blog; my daughter Ashley took my Granddaughter Scarlett to Texas to "visit" her dad for 2 weeks and decided to stay there til she joins her hubby in Germany. I won't go into details but it really hurt me. Enough of this....

This is part of my other daughter Heather's birthday gift; I'm making her an "Important Box", I need to go to Hobby Lobby and find a box to paint and then attach this on top. It's gonna be so cute; I may even make one for myself. :) I started Home of a Needleworker 2 and haven't stitched on it for a few days, I am going to do that today. I'm off work and have decided today is going to be a "jammy" day for me since I'm off work and did all my errand running yesterday; it's almost noon and I'm still in my P.J.'s. LOL so why should I change now??

I ordered the Birds of a Feather Mystery Sampler from Down Sunshine Lane on Friday and recieved it today; I thought I had ordered the 35 Ct. material to go with it; but didn't so I hurried and ordered it today and should get it by Thursday. Then I can get started; it's going to be beautiful.. I hope everyone is safe and stitching a lot; I know the tornados in the south are horrible this year.
