Early Bird...:)

I have to wake Hayden at 6 a.m. to get ready for school and I usually go back to sleep til about 8; but for some unknown reason I couldn't this morning; so I got up and have been busy this morning; I've washed, dried & put away one load of clothes and have the other load in the dryer, coloured my hair, made beds, picked up, cleaned the bathroom and I only need to dust and I think Im gonna put out my fall/halloween decorations today. I decided to take a break; Andy Griffith show is on for the next hour; so I have to watch it..LOL I LOVE Andy & Barney...I don't watch the shows in "color", just the black & white ones w/Barney. I wish I would have grown up in those "days"; life was so slow and simple. It amazes me how the youth of today can't put those stupid cell phones down or they think their missing out on something..

I ordered some stash from Anita from Anita Little Stitches; she's always so quick to get orders out and is such a sweet lady to deal with. I have been working on my LK Mystery Sampler and nothing else for a few weeks now; I got part 3 yesterday and am almost ready to start part 3; hopefully I'll get to it today. That's my plan to stitch all afternoon. :) We'll see....lol

I brought my Sampler home from the fair and have it hanging in the Living Room. :) Kennys doing well; he's in Amarillo, TX now. I think my dryers about to "buzz" so I guess I better go. Hope everyone is getting some of this cooler weather were getting here in Colorado. Today it's suppose to be 93 and tomorrow it's suppose to be 64 and rain. I can't wait for tomorrow; even though it's my "Monday" at work. We've been so slow; Sept. is our slowest month.

ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!

Somethings we never seem to forget from our childhood; like the sound of the Ice Cream Man..LOL I was sitting here tearing out the boarder on my LK mystery sampler..ugh..(one stupid stitch off) and I heard the sound of that ice cream truck..I hurried and went to the door and grabbed my camera to get a picture for you girls; I was a good girl and didn't get any ice cream and believe me the type of day I've had today I could have used a "few"...lol

I discovered last night that I was 1 stitch off on my boarder and it would drive me crazy if I just let it go; so a "rippin I will go"...it's not too much to rip out about 60 stitches I guess.

Hayden went to stay with his step-dad til Monday afternoon and Kennys working so I'm just enjoying a little quiet time; I've been "pinning", I swear I'd get a lot more stitching done if Ashley wouldn't have got me hooked on that Pinterest site..LOL Find me and see all the goodies I have posted. :) (Sharee McNeely) Can you all believe it's already the 1st of September already??? Where did the summer go, hell where did the year go???? 116 days til Christmas my boss informed us in this mornings meeting. I'm ordering my 3rd part of the LK Mystery Sampler tomorrow, it looks cute I can't wait to get it and also a few other "goodies". One of my regular customers at work is a Steeler's fan also ( I'm a HUGE Steelers fan) and she brought me this new "Terrible Towel" into work today...I was so excited!!! There's nothing better than watching my Steelers and stitching on a cold day...I can't wait!!!

Kenny leaves next week for Texas with his job. It's gonna be pretty boring around here without him; I know I'd said a while ago I wanted him to leave and now that he is I'm gonna miss him..I guess we should be careful what we wish for huh?? I swear this "menapause" is about to drive me crazy..lol have a great weekend ladies and stitch something for yourselves...:)

P.S. Stash

I forgot in my last post; I recieved some stash from 123 Stitch today; I know this is my 2nd order this week; I have to be good now; well at least til the 27th when the new pictures from CCN & LHN comes out..lol and a few from Homespun Elegance; I love seeing the new fall/halloween & Christmas designs; I'm getting stocked up...lol

3rd & 4th places..

Me and Hayden went to the fair tonight and my ornament placed 3rd and my Mystery Sampler placed 4th. :) I'm very happy with that since it is my first year entering things in the Colorado State Fair. It makes you feel all "warm & fuzzy" seeing a fair ribbon with one of your pictures. LOL I'm already planning for next year; I want a red or maybe even a blue ribbon...LOL

It's so darn expensive to go to the fair; I don't see how families can afford it; it was $10 for each of us to get in; then we went and saw Kenny at the ride he's running; he tried to get me to ride on it; there was NO WAY I was going to get in that thing!!! LOL He has to sit in the middle of it all day and spin around & around. Glad it's him and not me. LOL Hayden played a few game (another $10), each of us got a bottle of tea, then we went to the vendor selling NFL things and other things; I'm a very, very big STEELERS fan. :) I got a couple of those rubber braclets and Hayden a bandana, I talked the guy into letting me having them both for $15 instead of $23 LOL Kenny had his break while we were there and we sat and drank our teas and got him a lemondae; then we went and looked at the bunnies and chickens.

I love the chickens except I feel sorry for them being in the little cages. There didn't seem to be as many people there as there was last year. It's really started to cool off here; the weather was perfect to walk around. Work was slow today; hopefully we'll be busy tomorrow; I'm broke now; but we sure had fun :).

Bliss....

I couldn't think of a title for this post except for how I'm feeling..tonights the first night of the Fair, just the rides are open tonight and the wrist bands are just $10 to ride all you want; well Kennys working there and Hayden went with some kids he met. And that means I have been home ALONE since 4:30!!!

I washed, dried and put away 2 loads of clothes, did dishes, swept the kitchen floor and sat and stitched and watched one of my favorite movies: "Steel Magnolias". I've seen this movie more times than I can count and still get tears. I've been stitching away on my LK Halloween Sampler and sure loving it. Love the colour changes.

I recieved my stash yesterday; I've wanted these scissors for a while now and I don't like the way they cut..lol But their really cute and I want to make the holder for it and fob. Not much else going on; I skyped with the girls today; Scarlett is such a doll. Hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend; I have to work; Sunday after work I'm going to the Fair with my friend Rhonda; gonna go see what I placed...wish me luck. Kennys will be working there and said we can ride the ride he's controlling but I'll pass; I'll get sick..lol

TULSA & IHSW updates..

Morning ladies, hope everyone is doing well and getting lots of stitching in. I was only able to stitch a little this weekend; I worked a double on Friday and Saturday and worked Sunday til 4. So I was only able to stitch last night. And fully enjoyed it and relaxed. I can't believe it's time for TULSA again!! Where is this year going to?

As my regular readers know; Kenny lost his job a few months ago and like 1000's of other people is having a rough time finding a job; well the Colorado State Fair is in town til the 4th of Sept. He went down there the other day and waited around for a few hours for the "boss" to get there and got hired on the spot to help put the rides together and he'll be running one of the rides; when he came home from his first day of work I had to get a picture of him...LOL He was covered with grease and dirt from head to toe and STILL TRIED TO SIT ON MY COUCH AND BED!! I grabbed a towel for him to sit on. Why do men do that?? Saturday when he went to work the "boss" offered him a job going on the road with them; and I think he's going to take it for a little while. They pay pretty good and he says that if it's what he has to do for us the he'll do it. I guess their going to Texas and Louisana next. So, we'll see.

I ordered a little stash this weekend and can't wait to get it; I've been eyeing the Spiderweb Scissors by Kelmscott for about a year now and finally broke down and ordered them and a pattern, threads and material. I prob shouldn't have, but I worked hard this weekend and made good money and I deserve it...LOL

Spooky start & stash...

I finally was able to start my Lizzie Kates Halloween Mystery Sampler; and it's sure a fun picture to stitch. Then in the mail today I received part 2 with the 30ct Carrot linen to stitch the bonus picture with. I love the colours in this picture and if anyones having thoughts on stitching this picture please do. It's so pretty and fun. I also got October 31 and the 40ct Days gone by linen to stitch it on; and this linen is beautiful..I can't wait to start it; I think it's in my near future..LOL

Work was horribly slow today; I hate when it's this slow; it makes the day go by so darn slow. I got home and Kenny had taken Hayden to the river to swim for a while; so I got some alone time, I'm watching the Andy Griffith marathon (again); I absolutly LOVE Andy and Barney. Even though I've seen all of the shows a dozen times (some more) I can still watch it everyday.. :) And of course heres a picture of my little cuddle bug, Scarlett. She'll be 2 years old on the 17th; I can't believe she's getting so big.. Hope everyones having a fun and safe weekend..
