Lazy Day...
I hope everyone had a very safe and Happy New Years. Today was such a nice, lazy day. Hayden went with his step-dad for a few days, so it was just me and Kenny alone. I stitched some on my Snow in Love, I will finish it tonight. Then I just got so tired, I laid down at 2:30 and woke at 5:00!!! What a wasted day..LOL I did make it out and got my nails done yesterday, I usually just get a solid colour; but they had this pretty powder gel and I had to try them..I just love them...Rowdy was my little stitching buddy today, he sat here all morning with me. :) I took this picture of the guys "saving the world" on some online game they both play.
Kenny made me pork chops and mashed potatoes for dinner. Plus he washed the dishes, can't beat that..LOL I need to colour my hair bad!! And had planned on doing that today, I guess I still can, but probabley won't. I never should have laid down for so long. Kenny said he was gonna come in the bedroom and lay with me, but Rowdy was on one side of me, Baby (the cat) was down by my feet and Bear was stretched along the side of my leg..LOL I just had the soft blanket they all love. We didn't go out last night, we just stayed home and had a few drinks. I had a few "Fuzzy Navels" and Kenny drank rum and sprite or rum and orange soda or rum and sweet tea or rum and egg nog...:) LOL and he didn't even get sick. I think I'm gonna try and not order so many new things this year. I HAVE to stitch the new 12 Little Sheep Virtues from LHN, they are adorable if you haven't seen them yet, you have to!!! And I want to do the new Mystery Sampler from Blue Ribbon Designs called: Blue Jeans and Daisies, but other than those I'm gonna just "try" and stitch out of my stash and finish at least 5 of my WIPS I have. I'm having such fun with my IPOD Kenny got me for Christmas. I'm not very good with electronics but I'm having fun with this. I hope everyone is stitching away and keeping warm..

Relaxing...& TULSA
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has fun plans for New Years Eve. I think me and Kenny may go out for dinner, idk yet. Hayden is suppose to go to his step-dads for a few days next week.
We had a very nice and quiet Christmas. I am a die-hard Steeler's fan, I have been since the late 70's, my mom always sends me Steelers stuff, this year she sent me these fuzzy jammies and footies, I absolutly love them, their so comfy.. Kenny got me this beautiful ring; I tried to get a decent picture to share but didn't do too good and my nails look horrible; I get them done on Monday so maybe then I'll be able to post a decent picture. It's beautiful. He also gave me his debit card and told me to order some new "stitchy stuff"..since he has no idea on what I "need"..lol And I guess I'm not alone when I say I don't "need" anything, but did "force" myself order a few new Spring things, also the new Country Cottage design "Winter Snow". I'm going to start stitching spring themed things soon. I HAVE to get busy "finishing" some of these things I've stitched. I've gotten horrible about finishing. I think I may get Faye to help me out some, she does beautiful work, I do stitch much better than I finish.
Here is my late TULSA, the last one for 2012. Where did this past year go? I can't beleive how fast time does go by. It seems the older we get the faster time goes. I also got a new IPOD for Christmas. I love it!! I'm not very good at electronical "thingies" LOL (don't think thats a word..) But I've had a lot of fun getting to know my new toy better the past few days. My boss has helped me a little, he has 3 of them. I came into the bedroom and found my cat (Baby) sleeping like this; she didn't even move..lol I hope everyone has a safe and very Happy New Years. I don't know what I'm going to do as to making a stitching "list" for 2013, whats everyone going to do? Hugs, Shar

Merry Christmas....
Just a short post wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas...I hope everyone is able to be with people who are special to you. I am lucky to have my oldest DD Heather and grandson Hayden with me this year. Me and Heather just made up Kenny & Haydens stocking, her and the guys made up mine earlier while I was at work and I made up Heathers a little while ago.
We didn't buy any "big" gifts this year; just kept it simple, were all having a little rough time with finances this year and decided not to go overboard and just enjoy the holiday. We are going to cook a nice big turkey and all the "fixins" and baked two pies. Some of my friends from work are coming over for pie tomorrow evening. I worked today from 11-7:30. We wasn't too busy but people were tipping really well.
Ashley is such a wonderful mom; I'm so very proud of her. She and Miss. Scarlett baked cookies all weekend, here's a few pictures of her. Ashley said Scarlett was "over" taking pictures...LOL She's such a baby doll. I miss those two girls so much. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas...xo

Stitching bug....
LOL,, sometimes it's so hard for me to come up with a "title" for my blog post. Do any of you have this problem? I finished my "Season of Love",it turned out so cute I need to "finish" it, I do plan on doing this someday soon..:) I just pulled the threads and material for my next small project; "It's Snow Cold. I love snowpeople. And I've stitched a little on my "Baby it's Cold Outside". I absolutly love the material for this picture. I used the called for material and will diffidently be ordering more of this to put in my stash pile. That's one thing I do need to work on building is my material stash; I have a lot of threads and patterns, but not too many pieces of material. I ususally just order the called for material. Here's a picture of Torry, Ashley and Miss Scarlett at a Christmas Mart in Germany.
I'm going to try...(TRY)...and not buy as much stash in 2013. THEN I saw LHN new "sheep" series and can't wait for it..lol It's a never ending cycle...on a more serious note; I know I'm not alone when I say I just can not believe someone could be so cruel as to kill innocent 6 & 7 year olds, and their teachers. Children never hurt anyone and to just go in and shoot them is beyond belief. This person was mentally ill and I wish he would have seeked help.
A few days ago we had our first snow here in Pueblo,Colorado. It was beautiful and sadly didn't last very long. Here's Kenny shoveling the sidewalk, I guess he doesn't think it's cold..lol Hugs, Shar

Stitching away...
I finished stitching my Gingerman ornie and started my newest purchase "Season of Love" ornie. I "should" finish it tomorrow. Then Monday I plan on "finishing" some of my ornies I have stitched. I'm not the best at "finishing" but I give it my best..lol I was off work today and baked 3 batches of cookies and that's about all I did; I didn't even get up til 12:20!!! I couldn't believe it when I looked at the clock and it said that time..I worked a double yesterday and I guess it really wore me out..
After I got up and around we went to Walmart to return some jeans Kenny had bought and decided he didn't like; we got a few groceries and came on home. Not a very exciting day at all. I work tomorrow and then I'm off Monday and Tuesday. My daughter Heather is coming Monday and were going shopping downtown.
Here are a few pics of Scarlett putting their tree up. She's getting so big. Hope everyone is having fun getting ready for the "big day"..

Toasted or Untoasted????
How do you like your bread on a BLT? I prefer mine to be toasted; and that's what I decided sounded good for dinner tonight. :) So, after work I stopped and got some lettuce and a tomato and some bacon. It was delicous..:) I haven't made much progress on my gingerbread man, after I post this I'm gonna stitch til bedtime and hopefully make some progress.
I came across a new Cross Stitch site last week Stitch and Frog, I found a kit that I've been looking for for a while now and decided to take a chance and order it; I always order from 123 and Anita's, I'm a little leary to order from somewhere new; I've ordered from other places only to wait 3 weeks or longer for my order and I don't know about you but when I make a Cross Stitch order I'm "sweatin the mail"...lol waiting anxiously for my new bunch of "goodies". I'm like a Cross Stitch "Junkie" waiting for my next "fix"...LOL I know I'm not alone in this ladies..:) In my order from Anita she sent me some Boin size 28 needles as a thank you, I thought that was so sweet of her. Well anyways, I ordered this Trilogy kit and got it in 4 days (counting the holiday). It was packaged well and I am satisfied. I will still go to Anita first and then 123 and use Marty at Stitch & Frog for emergencies; she has some patterns the others don't have; I have a wish list started already..I'm going to "try" to cut way back on my ordering stash next year and stitch some of what I already have. I'm sure I'll still get the new ornaments and a few things like that; but this year I've kind of been a bad girl and gone way beyond what I should have..:)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgivig with your families; I was alone, I worked and we were so busy, I was so tired, I just came home and ate a little something and a piece of pumpkin pie I brought home from work and relaxed. My friend Rhonda invited me to her brothers and my other friend invited me to her families, but to be honest I was so tired and my knee was killing me, so I just came on home. Well ladies off to stitch...:) why don't you join me???
Hugs, Shar
