TUSLA & some stitching...

I was off work today; me and Ash and Miss. Scarlett went to the mall and we bought her some summer clothes; we bought them a size bigger. Last night we had pizza, I tore off a piece of mine and let Scarlett chew on it, she loved it :) then when I took it from her she cried. LOL She loves pizza. Not much going on really; I've been stitching on LK's Sampling Easter for a few days; I just can't get in the mood to stitch lately. I stitch for about 30 minutes and just am bored. I hope this mood passes soon and I get my mojo back.

I'm off work tomorrow also; me and Ashley are driving to Montrose to pick up my grandson, Hayden for spring break. He'll be here til Friday. It will be great to have him here. He's never seen Scarlett; and I plan on taking lots of pictures of the two of them and of all of us. Sorry I don't have much to write about tonight. Kind of have the "blahs".

Pueblo Quilt & Stitch Expo..

I've gone to the Pueblo Quilt & Stitch Expo for prob 8 years now; I don't know why they call it "Stitch" there isn't ever any Cross Stitch booths there; and I don't quilt (yet), but I still enjoy walking around and looking at the beautiful quilts. This year I bought a Pattern to make some halloween decorations; I"m going to give it a try; and two things of buttons; it was fun picking out the ones I wanted, that lady prob thought I was crazy; there was a huge bin and you could fill a small bag for $3, I hand picked everyone. LOL Then they had prepackaged ones, I picked up one of those also. I'm going to use the buttons for my finishing on my cross stitch pillows. And I picked up 3 fat quarters of material for finishing.

It's 4:15 a.m. now; I woke and let the dogs out; Scarlett woke so I changed her and gave her a bottle, she went back to sleep; which is where I need to go since I have to work a double tomorrow; I'm just not tired; I went to bed around 10 last night; I've been so tired lately? I may make myself a Dr. Appt. to get a check up soon. I have a dentist Appt. the 15th and man do I HATE going to the dentist; I have to have their 1st appointment of the day otherwise I"ll find some reason to cancel. LOL Not much on the stitching; I have lost my stitching mojo; it'll come back I"m sure. :)

Stash...

I finially got my order from Stitching Bits and Bobs; it took about 2 weeks; I guess one of the charts were on backorder. She had a sale, the threads were on sale for $1.60 so I went thru my Stitchers Journal and ordered all the threads it calls for that I don't have. Plus a few other ones I liked. She's still having a sale; so maybe I'll go thru some of my charts and see what I can come up with. I know when Ash goes to Germany I won't have the extra money to order a lot of stash; so I"m going to take advantage of it while I can; and then when they do leave I'll have plenty to keep me busy. :)

I was suppose to be off work today; but my friend Desi called and asked if I would work for her; she's really sick w/that cold/flu I had, so I went in for a few hours, came home and warmed up my grandma's spaghetti I made for supper last night for supper tonight; it's always better the 2nd day. I gave Scarlett some; she loved it as you can see in the picture. LOL Then we went to Dairy Queen and got chocolate ice cream cones. :)

Ash bought a Wii, and we've been having a blast with it; I beat her shooting basketball hoops; but she beats me bowling; we play almost every night. I haven't been stitching much; still working on the rose for my mom; getting bored working w/one colour. But it's sure gonna be pretty; she's gonna love it. I'm off work tomorrow I think I'm gonna do something out of the Stitcher's Journal. I love that book....

I won a give away from Peggy and recieved my package in the mail Monday!! Thank you so much Peggy for the great stash and "frog" :) I've been looking for one forever and can't find one and this one is beautiful; I proudly have it displayed on the table by my stitching chair. You were so generous....

I've been stitching on two projects; I've never done this (have 2 out at the same time) but find it's sure fun; the Rose is for my mom for Mother's Day; I put her mom's initials and the year she was born on it; I really love how the Iris WDW looks on this material. And the Simple Joys is sure pretty; I love the colours in it; I'm jumping around a lot on this one; it's something I've never done either but I love seeing how the different colours look :). I ordered a pretty big order from Stitching Bits and Bobs over a week ago and called and asked her when it was going to be shipped; she said one of the patterns were on back order and it was "suppose" to be in either yesterday or today and it'd ship then; so we'll see. I love 123 Stitch; I always get my orders in 2-4 days after I place my order. Patience isn't my strongest virtue. LOL

I've just been spending time w/Ash & Torry & Scarlett; he leaves for Germany on Saturday; they (Army) won't let the girls go until he gets housing which could take up to 3 months. I don't mind; I love having them here a little longer. They bought their first new car while he's been home; a 2010 Kia Forte; it's a very nice car and I'm going to be buying a new car this next month and am seriously thinking of buying one of them. Only I want the dark charcoal grey colour; they have it in white; I have a white chevy Malibu and don't want another white car. Thank you again Peggy; I just love the stash; I don't have any of the charts you sent and love the threads and these are my first "hat pins" :) I'm getting close to 100 followers and when I get there I'm going to have another give away!! Home w/the flu....:(

Ashley had what we thought was food posioning earlier in the week; well then yesterday her Hubby started throwing up etc. and before I went to bed I felt a little quizzy, and was up til about 5 running to the bathroom (I'll leave out the details but those of you who have had this bug know what I mean) YUCK.. and then around 4 I finally gave in and threw up. I tried so hard to talk myself out of it; but it didn't work.

I even called off work today and that's about the 3rd time I've done that in 4 years. Torry felt better this morning; they had to take their car to get an alignment and then he's getting Scarlett's footprint tattooed on his shoulder and Ash is getting her hand prints tattooed on her shoulder. So they won't be home til around 7 tonight; they had to take Scarlett with them. I don't want to be around her at all today. I got "Remember Me" from BBD that was on back order in the mail; I may have to start this one today. It's nice and quiet around here and I"m sipping on some Sierra Mist and water. I just need to rest and drink lots of clear liquid and of course stitch. I think I'm going to go and take a shower and put on my lounging jammies and hopefully I will feel a little better.

Babysitting & a little stash from last week.

Ash & Torry went to Springs to take care of some stuff; so I"m babysitting Miss. Scarlett. I bought these cute headbands and LOVE them on her. I haven't been stitching for about 3 days now; just haven't "felt" it. I was off work yesterday and just went to the local grocery store (King Soopers) and spend $45 on shampoo, conditioner, hair colour, some pens, an anniversary card for Ricky, some nausea med for Ash; she had food poisioning yesterday, they went out to dinner w/Torrys family at a Mexican restaurant and her bean burritos were bad; she'd given Scarlett a few bites also so she was throwing up yesterday and I won't get into details on the diapers :(, it took me and Torry to change them. LOL and some pedialite and laundry detergent. Crazy it came to $45!! Think of the stash we could buy...Oh, believe me I've done my share of "stash buying" the past 2 days!!!

Stitching Bits and Bobs is having a huge sale 20-25% off almost everything!!! Their CC & GA are $1.60 & $1.68 each!!! So I ordered about 30 of them; I ordered all the colours I need for all the designs in the Stitchers Journal, the sale is thru the 21st so hurry on over. I also ordered a few things from 123 Stitch and Down Sunshine Lane. I have put my credit card away....LOL Here's a picture of some stash I bought last week; but haven't downloaded the picture on my computer til just now. Well Miss. Scarlett is making her "warning call" LOL So, grandmas gotta go make her lunch.

What to stitch today?????

Ashley and Scarlett just left about an hour ago to Denver to pick Torry up from the airport; they invited me but I decided to let them have their "family time" and me my "alone time" LOL I'm watching Scarlett tonight while they go to a hotel. :) I was looking thru my stash last night; I have the 15 Crazy Challenge pieces staring at me to finish and I will; but then I came across my Stitchers Journal; I absolutly LOVE this book.

Anyone who is thinking of getting this book; but is scared because of the price; like I was until someone (sorry can't remember who) shared pictures in her blog, I had to order it and it's prob my favorite "stash" piece so far this year. It's amazing..so I think I'm going to stitch something from it today and then go old downtown where all the antique shops are and look around for something to "finish" it with. :) I'll be sure and post a picture when I'm done; hopefully today. I do need to shower and do the dishes and I think I'm going to go and get that out of the way so I can really enjoy the rest of my day alone. The kids are going car shopping and then to the malls in Springs on their way home so I don't expect them til prob around 5 or 6. I've seen in a few ladies blogs the Amy Grant picture (hope I got it right) and have fallen in love with it and have to find it; but I don't know who the designer is? Does anyone know?? Hope you all have a great day and can squeeze in some alone time for yourself...
