Just couldn't do it....

Have you ever started a project and you have to force yourself to stitch on it? That's what was happening with March Word Play. I started it last year and thought I'd finish it this year and just couldn't get into stitching on it. I have so much stash I want to stitch that I had to put it away for yet another year...lol I started this Heart in Hand Easter Bird and am loving it. :) It's coming along pretty fast. I saw on Pinterest where someone had made these little lamp shades and I had to try it. So, off to Hobby Lobby I went and bought some burlap and bird eggs and birds nest. They were so fun and easy to make. I love them. They go great with my Birds of a Feather picture don't you think? Scarlett's been sick; Ash finially got her into the Dr. and she has an ear infection. Poor baby. Wish I could sit and hold her. Well, I know this is a short post but I gotta get ready for work; I want to share with you before I go the box I bought from Denise and the little bunnies with my grandbabies names on. She surprised me with these adorable little angels..I love them and ordering from Denise. She's a sweetheart..

Finally a finish....

I finally finished "Baby It's Cold Outside" and I have to say if your looking at this one to stitch please do. It was such a fun piece. Even thou I did have a spell where I lost my stitching "mo-jo". But it hasn't effected my wanting new stash...lol I really enjoyed stitching this, I need to take it and get it framed soon. I know the type of frame I want now I just have to find one. I came across the March Word Play I'd started last year; well I don't really think you can call it a "start" really, I'd stitched about 13 stitches on in and put it down for some unknown reason..LOL So I picked it up and started it again. I went to grab my camera and take a picture of it and something had been spilled on the table where I sat my camera down and got on my camera so now I can't get it to take any pictures. I'm recharging it and hopeing that maybe the battery is just dead and the camera isn't done for; I'll be sad. But I will have to go out and get another one. I'd taken these pictures and downloaded the last week of Feb. I haven't been in the mood to do much of anything lately. I haven't stitched or blogged hardly at all. I'm going to go and try and stitch a little more now. I just wanted to check in and say hi. Please excuse the wrinkles in my picture; I haven't ironed it yet..Take care friends...A special thank you for all your sweet words on my last post about my new grandbaby..:)

Scarlett's got an announcement....:)

I'm gonna be a Grandma...again...:) Ashley told me Monday and swore me not to tell until her and Torry told the rest of the family..I'm so excited, I have a grandson, Hayden from my oldest daughter Heather, and Scarlett will be 3 in August, her mommy is my youngest daughter, Ashley. So, I am planning a trip to Germany in October. We think she's due around the 9th of October. I haven't been stitching the past few days; just lost my mo-jo I guess? Hopefully it'll get back soon....

Time flies....

I can't believe I haven't posted in almost a month and it's Feb already...I'll be 52 years old the end of the month, time does go by faster the older we get..:) I haven't been stitching much, just a little here and there; I started the Feb Word Play last year and was going thru some WIP(s) and only had a little to do so I picked it up last week and stitched on it til I was done, I really,, really need to do some finishing. I have a ever-growing pile of stitching that needs finished. I'm still working on "Baby it's Cold Outside", I should be able to finish it up this week or next, I'm very close to being done. Then I think I'm going to start some "spring" things, I've been stock-piling my "spring stash" so I have plenty to choose from...lol I'm off work today; just washing clothes and watching "House Hunters". I love that show. Scarlett is getting so big, while we were skyping yesterday Ashley tried to get her to sing a song for me she learned at day-care and she said "no" then me and Ash were talking and Scarlett was looking at a book sitting next to Ash and started to sing "Crinkle, Crinkle, hum hum Star, hum, hum hum what u are...LOL I have to tell you I got BIG TEARS..:) She's so precious. I'm planning a trip over there (Germany) in October, I'll write more on that later. :) Hope everyone is doing well and stitching lots...

Lazy Day...

I hope everyone had a very safe and Happy New Years. Today was such a nice, lazy day. Hayden went with his step-dad for a few days, so it was just me and Kenny alone. I stitched some on my Snow in Love, I will finish it tonight. Then I just got so tired, I laid down at 2:30 and woke at 5:00!!! What a wasted day..LOL I did make it out and got my nails done yesterday, I usually just get a solid colour; but they had this pretty powder gel and I had to try them..I just love them...Rowdy was my little stitching buddy today, he sat here all morning with me. :) I took this picture of the guys "saving the world" on some online game they both play. Kenny made me pork chops and mashed potatoes for dinner. Plus he washed the dishes, can't beat that..LOL I need to colour my hair bad!! And had planned on doing that today, I guess I still can, but probabley won't. I never should have laid down for so long. Kenny said he was gonna come in the bedroom and lay with me, but Rowdy was on one side of me, Baby (the cat) was down by my feet and Bear was stretched along the side of my leg..LOL I just had the soft blanket they all love. We didn't go out last night, we just stayed home and had a few drinks. I had a few "Fuzzy Navels" and Kenny drank rum and sprite or rum and orange soda or rum and sweet tea or rum and egg nog...:) LOL and he didn't even get sick. I think I'm gonna try and not order so many new things this year. I HAVE to stitch the new 12 Little Sheep Virtues from LHN, they are adorable if you haven't seen them yet, you have to!!! And I want to do the new Mystery Sampler from Blue Ribbon Designs called: Blue Jeans and Daisies, but other than those I'm gonna just "try" and stitch out of my stash and finish at least 5 of my WIPS I have. I'm having such fun with my IPOD Kenny got me for Christmas. I'm not very good with electronics but I'm having fun with this. I hope everyone is stitching away and keeping warm..
