Sad day...

6 years ago today I lost my dad. They say time heals all wounds and I have found that to not be true; it hurts as much today as it did back then. I had a good cry last night and this morning; I know my dad wouldn't want me to be sad today and would want me to remember the great times we shared and believe me I'm trying. I guess it's just being selfish. Me and my dad were GREAT dancers; when we'd go out dancing w/our family there was NEVER any better dancers and I have some wonderful memories of us. This picture was taken about 4 years before he passed and was the last time we went dancing. I will cherish it forever and wanted to share it with all of you.

I have to work today and I thought that would be better than sitting home alone (Kennys working also) and crying all day; he wouldn't want that. :) I "kitted" up some of the stash I recently got and think I'm gonna start on my "LK Snowmen" tonight while I watch the Steeler's kick Baltimores butts...:)

Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday...

So sorry for your loss! I lost my dad only 6 months ago. It seems like just 6 minutes ago.

Hugs!

Thinking of you .
Time doesn't heal the wounds , I think you just get more used to dealing with the pain .
My Dad died 11 years ago in December , and it still hurts so much ,so I know where you're coming from .
Take care . XXX

Hold your memories close, and you'll know he's not far away - always in your heart! Can't wait to see your stitching; you've chosen some great projects.

It takes different people different amounts of time to deal with loss. Society expects us to 'get over' these things immediately but that's not the case. So it's okay to still grieve for someone you love :o)

Those are some excellent choices for WIP pieces!
