Snowmen....

I recieved my order from DSL right as I was walking out the door to go to work; I had to open the package and look real quick; lol. I can't wait to get started; I saw how cute Vonna's was and had to order them; I hope I can get the started soon; I have the material and threads. I know 123 Stitch sold out of them the first 2 days she had them posted and I didn't get to order from them. I also got the Wooly new pic from LHN and the newest ornament; which is going to be the next one I do after "All is Calm". Which is about 1/2 way done. I get up about an hour early and stitch on it. I plan on stitching in the evenings but Kenny gets home from work around 8:30 and by the time we eat (I hate eating that late; but he likes me to eat w/him), and I get dishes done and we visit some it's bedtime. When we got up yesterday morning; there was about 3" of snow; but it's all gone now..

He just wanted sandwiches tonight; so I stopped and got some fresh hogie rolls and stuff to make a pasta salad and some deviled eggs (his favorite). He's been so sweet to me; ordering me all this stash the past month; I don't want to just make him a cold old sandwich. He'll be happy. I guess I could be stitching now instead of on this computer..LOL Hope everyone has a great day...and of course here's a new pic of Scarlett; she's walking now and knows where her "nose & eyes" are. :) I love Skype!!

UFO finished & a start...

Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween; we gave out candy and had about 50 little visitors and a few "not so little" ones; I HATE those big kids that come and don't even dress up; they just have pillow cases, I still give them candy; but only 1 piece. LOL Kenny had fun scaring the kids.

I was going thru my stash today; kitting up some ornaments for Becky's Christmas Ornament Challenge and came across this little UFO that I forgot about; look where I ran out of thread and had to order another skein; I used CC's Manor Red instead of the Cupid it calls for because I didn't want to order another thread and ended up doing it anyways; it didn't take me long to finish it; I don't know how I'm going to finish it yet? Then I started my C.O.C. I've had this pattern since last year and decided to make it my first. :) Most of the ones I'm going to do are LHN patterns.

I'm going to go and stitch for a while..

Stash & Stitching....

I have been slowly working on "My Dwelling Place" I wanted to stitch more on it last night; but after Kenny got home and we ate; we sat and talked for a while and I got so sleepy, I went in and laid down on the bed at 9:30 and just got up when my alarm went off at 7..lol I don't even remember him coming to bed. I must have been tired; I know I was so busy yesterday at work. My heels are killing me; recently they have been really bothering me and I don't know why? I have those good inserts from the machine at Walmart and wear good work shoes (Sketchers). I think I may have to go to the Dr.

Here's Rowdy in his Halloween costume; Kenny went to Walmart the other day and they had the pet costumes for $1 so he grabbed a couple. Rowdy looks like he's hating life..lol Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weather. Here in Colorado the weather changes hourly it seems. Our snow is almost all gone. It never sticks around for long....

Snow = Stitching & TULSA

We always get some snow around Halloween...it's stopped snowing for now; I hope it's not done; we got about 2". Kenny went out and took some pictures of the house in the snow.

I've been working on "My Dwelling Place"; it's such a fun stitch. I hope to be done with it by November 1; then I'm just going to focus on Christmas stitching (& winter themed). I have been very bad and ordering stash; I got this one on Monday and have one that was shipped yesterday. :) I work hard for my money and you have to spoil yourself once in a while..

Here's my TULSA for this month. I can't believe it's almost the end of the month already; where has this year gone??? I requested to have today off work so I have 3 days off this week...:) I think I'm gonna go and stitch for a while and enjoy the peace & quiet..Kennys off today also; he has a Dr. appt and I didn't want to get cleaned up; just sweats today..

My Dwelling Place update

Hi, hope everyone is having a great weekend...I started stitching "My Dwelling Place" and absolutly love stitching it. I have to tell those of you who are wanting to stitch it, that it's a fun project and I love the called for material 18 ct. Lambswool Linen. I've never stitched on it before and its great. I did have some problem see the Crescent Colours Olive Branch as you can see in the picture; I ended up frogging 7 leaves and restitched them using DMC's 3012. I don't know if it's the dye lot that made it so light or what? But I like it much better now. I started the roof on the house this morning before I went to work.

Also Rowdy was in need of a haircut very badly; we took him Tuesday..here's a before and after and I caught him and Kenny napping on the couch yesterday. Not much else going on; waiting on a order from 123 Stitch and have another one ready to send in prob Monday; Kenny worked a "blitz" at work last week (didn't have a day off) and got a good bonus so I sweet talked him into buying me some new Lizzie Kate patterns that just arrived at 123 Stitch & the threads. LOL I go months without buying anything and then I splurge so I'm about done for a while. LOL I'll update with another picture soon of My Dwelling Place; when I'm done with this I'm going to just stitch Christmas stuff thru November..I swear I'm going to stitch ornaments for my mom and Kennys and for my girls. I was going to last year and time got away from me; this year I really hope I do better.

Becky is going to host a ornament challenge kind of like the Pumpking Challenge she held last year; so hopefully this will help me to keep focused. LOL

New Stash Finally....

It's been a while since I've ordered any new stash; it's not like I am even remotely close to running out of things to stitch..lol But I've had a on going "shopping cart" going at 123 Stitch for a while now and Kenny gave me his Debit card the other day and told me to order it...Silly man; he's lucky I love him; I could have ordered sooooo much more. LOL

I placed my order on Friday and got it today. I love them; they always send orders out so fast. I can't wait to get "My Dwelling Place" started; I ordered the material 18ct Lambswool Linen; I've never stitched on that before and can't wait to get to. I may start it later today... and of course here's a few new pics of Scarlett; she's getting so big. Hope everyone is having a great week; it's colder here in Colorado; finally...I wish it'd snow..

Whew!!! Long post...

Well, were all moved and I wish I could say I was all unpacked...LOL You know when I was younger and my ex was in the Army; we moved quite often and I would have the new house unpacked and decorated in 2 days...well, 15 years later I have the kitchen & bathroom done and the rest is so-so. The best part is I have my own craft room!! I can't wait to get started unpacking on that; prob Tuesday; I'm off Monday and Tuesday and will get the house done by then...The move was a rough one; my DD & her friends never showed; so it was just me and Kenny doing all the moving and well, it was actually Kenny, I only helped with the couch, long hutch, dining room hutch & long bedroom dresser; he packed everything else into the uhaul, while I packed and cleaned. We moved all day Monday then went back Tuesday and cleaned the old house.

I really love it here so far; it's so much closer to work and to the mall, hobby lobby and Barnes & Nobles. :) I recieved this adorable Halloween braclet from Ashley & Torry for a "Thank you" for meeting their movers to send their household goodies to Germany. Isn't it adorable?? And of course another new pic of Miss. Scarlett. We Skype every morning. Ash said when she hears the computer ringing from me calling she gets all excited and crawls really fast to the computer. :) I'm so glad we can Skype. Me and Kenny are going to treat ourselved and go out to Texas Roadhouse (a great steak house) for dinner tonight then coming home to watch the newest Fast Five movie. It's been king of crazy this past week and we haven't spent much time together. Hope everyone is doing well; as soon as I find my camera cord I'll post some pics of our new home. :) I can't wait to get things back to normal and get some stitching done...
