Stash & a little stitching..

Well I got my computer back; the hard drive was shot and now when i'm typing on here or fb or an email my curser will jump around to different placed in the post? WTH???? I guess I'll have to call the lady who fixed it and see what this is? It's driving my crazy I know that. I still haven't "frogged" Needleworker, I just can't bring myself to do it. LOL Here's a new picture of Miss Scarlett; she'll be 3 next month..:) She calls me "Grandmom".. I love it.. Here's a little stash I got over the past few weeks. A few of them I won on ebay. I've been working on Ira Ray Crow; he's a lot of fun to stitch; I finished the pants last night; well dear ladies this retyping stuff is driving me crazy. It's always something isn't it? What are you all doing for the 4th? I have to work til 4 then I think were going down to the Riverwalk and watch the fireworks..Hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th..God bless those 19 brave firefighters in Arizona who lost their lives, so very sad..

Stitching update & a splurge..

I have been pretty good about buying new stash....UNTIL...I got up yesterday and got the "urge" to "splurge"..lol I got in the car and off the Colorado Springs I went to my LNS, it's a 40 mile drive one way which is prob a good thing, I haven't been there in about a year so I think that's not too bad. They had a new lady working there and she wasn't very nice at all..she was pretty much a bitch to be honest. I don't think people with that kind of attitude shouldn't be working with the public. The other ladies were nice though. I picked up a few new patterns; fell in love with the Independence Day Liberty pillow, they had one on display so I had to get it. And the Sam Sarah model sold me on this new book, well the book was published in 2004, I've never seen it. And I couldn't believe WDW is putting some of their threads in spools now. I didn't need any of the colours but use this one often (love pumpkins) and wanted to get it to show you ladies incase you hadn't seen them yet. Their expensive it was $5.25. I'm still working on Needleworker, I haven't been stitching on it much lately, I am going to start my Liberty pillow when I get home from work today. I think I need to take a break from Needleworker for a few days; maybe stitching something new will get me going. Hope everyone is doing well and had a great holiday weekend. Here's a picture of Scarlett eating a hot dog. lol Ashley found out she's having a boy. :) So, another grandson is on the way, his name is Colton :). She's due October 16. I'm looking for a Charles Craft stocking to make for him. I want the blue one with snowflakes but can't seem to find it. Hugs, Shar

Prizes & a little stash..

I was so lucky to have won a giveaway from Nancy at Victorian Motto, I won the surprise gift and what a wonderful surprise it was...some of her beautiful chenille and lovely threads. :) Thank you Nancy, I absolutely love them and can't wait to use them. I have been "trying" to be good and not order new stash, but I broke, the designers are coming up with more and more cute things that I just have to have. I'm still working on "Needleworker" and am going to go stitch on it and watch Dancing With The Stars after I post this. I love it...I think I'm going to stitch Spring Jack when I'm done. Here's a few pictures of Miss. Scarlett at her gymnastics class today; I love that Ashley posts all these pictures for me. Not much to talk about today; kind a got the blues, I've been going thru some personal issues and I'm not quite sure where things are headed; but I'll just pray about it and see what happens. (nothing medically or legal, just relationship "crap"), why can't things just be easy? I envy so many of you ladies, can I'll just leave it at that...Happy Stitching...

What a day....

I'm a waitress at a family style restaurant called "The Black-eyed Pea" in Pueblo, Co. I have been working there for 6 years now and I have several "regulars", mostly seniors that I grow quite attached to and sadly I do lose a few. I found out yesterday that on of my regulars had passed away on Tuesday night; I just waited on him and his dear wife on Sunday and he was fine, it was a heart attack. That's how I lost my dad, well today before his funeral 28 of his relatives came in to eat in honor of him and it was so hard and sad. His poor wife seemed so lost. You just never know; that's why it's so important that the people in our lives that we love need to know we love them. Last night I was "frogging" and I wasn't paying attention to "Bear", he has a thing about stuffed animals and he'll pick at then until he gets a hole and then he just tears the stuffing out, as you can see..lol He's such a little pain in the you know what sometimes. I was just 1 stitch off on my "N" and thought of just fudging it, but it was bothering me so I took it out. I came home from a long day at work today and had 3 packages waiting for me..that made me smile. I have been looking for the "Ghoul" pattern for sometime now and found one on e-bay and won it last week, I can't wait to stitch it. And I got my auto-deliveries for the "Peace" and the "Main Street Station" alone w/the materials and a few other goodies I've been eyeing. I have one more order from Stitch & Frog hopefully it'll be here on Monday. There are so many wonderful new patterns out, the designers are killing my stitching budget. I just need to pick up a few extra working shifts here and there to pay for my addiction. I did finish my "Hope". Do you ladies think there's such a thing as a "Stash Hoarder"?? Because if so, I believe I am one..lol Am I alone on this one?? LOL God bless you all...

Stitching like a fool...lol

Goodness the past few days have not been what I expected, I wanted to go to Goodwill to look for work pants (we wear jeans & black polos at work and I get great deals at Goodwill) then if I spill bleach on them I don't feel so bad about ruining a $8 pair of jeans instead of $40. And I wanted to go to Hallmark and get a new Yankee Candle (I have a coupon) & to Joanne's for whatever I HAD TO HAVE.. I noticed I had a small knot like thing on the bottom of my gum down by my jaw about 3 weeks ago and it kinda hurt when I touched it, so I called my dentist and made an appt. for May 7, well Monday morning about 2:45 I woke with killer pain on that knot and the tooth above it that doesn't have a cavity that I can see, I got up and took 3 Alieves and went back to bed and woke up yesterday morning and my jaw was swollen horribly, it looked like Kenny punched me in the jaw and it hurt sooooooooooo bad. I called my dentist again and she said she couldn't get me in, but I had to get to my doctor and get on antibotics ASAP.. So, I called my Dr. and she got me in. She said I had an absessed tooth and that it may have to be "drained"?? Now, this doesn't sound like fun at all..but I had to be on anitbotics a few days before they could do anything, so $46 later I have antibotics and Vics for pain. I started feeling nauseated while at the pharmacy waiting for my meds, and came straight home and laid down and slept most of the afternoon, when I got up I made supper, (funny when a womans sick the guys still ask "whats for dinner honey"?? I just made homemade mac & cheese, something soft, but Hayden did the dishes for me. Then I sat in my chair and stitched all night while watching DWTS & Castle & the news. It's horrible what someone did in Boston. I'll never understand why people want to hurt/kill other people for no reason, just to get attention I guess, that's what Dr. Phil says anyways. On a happier note here are a few more pics of my adorable grand-daughter Scarlett at her gymnastics class this morning, she's so adorable to me :)..I'm going to go and finish my Hope pillow and start on Love, these are such fun projects to stitch and Vonna makes the "finishing" look so easy with her Tutorial. Thanks Vonna..:) Have a blessed day..

2 Finishes & a new start....

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the changing of the season. My lilac and rose bushes are getting leaves on them I cant' wait until they bloom. I love seeing all the flowers at Lowes & Home Depot & Walmart, I usually wait until May to get any because here in Colorado it'll be 80 one day and the next 22 & snowing..lol Usually after May I feel safe planting flowers outside. I've been stitching almost every night, here are a few finishs I have; I have to "finish" them, I have about 15 stitching projects I have to "finish" I'm not really good at that but I'm trying to get better. I just started "Hope", and it's going to stitch up fast. I also ordered some stash; I've done pretty well so far this year at controlling my spending on new stash, lord knows I have enough already for the next 15 years or more. LOL I did order some today; well it's not really an "order", it's 2 Auto's. And I won "Ghoul" chart by Plum Street on Ebay yesterday, that made my day because I haven't been able to find it. Ashley & Miss. Scarlett are doing well, she's getting so big, Ashley Skyped me Wednesday and said she was cooking dinner and Scarlett came up to her and said "I wanna see Grandma"..:) it made me cry. When I answered my computer, she got the biggest smile and said "That's Grandma". :) Ashley and Torry put her in gymnastics class and she's doing so well, Ash says she really enjoys it. Only 10 more months and they'll be back in the States. Ashley's pregnancy is going well also, my new grandbaby will be here around October 16. We still don't know if it's a boy or girl and it doesn't matter to me. Well I think I'm gonna go stitch some before bed. Take care...Hugs, Shar
