Thank you..

Thank you ladies for your sweet words and prayers. Hayden is 16 years old. He told me "Grandma I prayed and right after I did a really nice lady picked me up and gave me a ride for about 20 miles and gave me $50", "then a really nice truck driver picked me up and brought me to Pueblo". I cried. I just hugged him and cried. My heart just breaks for him. But he is safe now and will stay with us. I am going to take him to Goodwill and Arc (like goodwill) today and see if we can get him some clothes.

Not much stitching planned for a few days. :) Gotta fatten my "Boo" up...he's so thin. :( But Grandma will take care of that!!! LOL

I almost fainted!!!

Sit down for this one ladies...Me and Kenny had a lot of errands to run today and we did them in our 107 degree weather here in Colorado; well, we got home and sat down with some flavored water when we hear this loud knocking on the door; he goes to the door and opens it and in walks in a young man who at first I didn't quite reconize; it was MY GRANDSON HAYDEN!! Now here's why I didn't reconize him....he was living in another town in Montrose w/his mother and he went to TEXAS with a friend on my daughters and the guy and Hayden got in an argument and they guy left him on the side of the road!!! Along with EVERYTHING my grandson owns; they were suppose to come here but the guy decided to go to Texas first I guess?? I had NO idea any of this was going on!! Well, he (Hayden) takes it upon himself to....sit down ladies....he HITCH HIKED from Texas to Colorado!!!! A very nice truck driver drove about 200 miles out of his way to bring him to his grandma!!! I still want to throw up just thinking about it. I asked why he didn't call me and he said he didn't have my number with him he just knew where my house was..and it "wasn't a big deal GRANDMA"...as I'm sure I kept turning pailer & pailer...me and his mother will have a very...I don't know how to word this..."discussion"..he says she's suppose to come here the 4th of July; we'll see what happens...he left everything he owns on the side of the highway..he grabbed a few clothes and a few personal items and put them in a back pack and walked/hitch hiked about 800 MILES!! OMG!! And I think, no I KNOW God was watching over my little "Boo" (his nickname) on his way to his grandma; he wants to stay with us and YES he is going to. FOREVER!!! So, off we'll go shopping tomorrow for some clothes for him; he doesn't have anything; so if anyone has any "extra" young man clothes they'd like to donate I'd sure appricate it; with Kenny not working, it's not a good time money wise; but we will make it work...(he wears a size 30/32 or 32/32 pant) :) KIDS!! Good thing I didn't colour my hair today; I was waiting to do it tomorrow I have more gray hairs now than I did earlier...LOL I can laugh now because I hear him sitting outside laughing with Kenny; here's a pic of the three of us..:)

Stitching wise; I finished my Patrotic Summer; and am on the end of my Mystery Sampler; I just want to hurry and get this picture done and framed and put into the State Fair...:)

IHSW & TULSA

Hope everyone is having a cooler day than we are here in Pueblo...it's suppose to be 106 today; we have 2 wildfires in the mountains and this weather sure isn't helping those poor people fighting them..I pray for them and for RAIN!!

Can't believe it's time for TULSA again; where is this year going? It's so true the older we get the faster time goes..Those of you who have been following my blog for a while knows that I have been having some "issues" with my life..well, I've come to a decision and I feel "at peace" with it FINALLY! I'm going to move back home to Ohio the end of August; that'll give me sometime to save a little for a little cushion til I find a job; my mom is so happy I am coming home..:) I'll stay with my mom and step-dad til I find a house and hopefully that won't take too long.

Now onto stitching, I've been a stitching fool!!! LOL I feel relaxed and at peace and have been stitching away; I started this "Midsummers Night" design Sunday and sure have enjoyed stitching on it; I can't wait to finish it; hopefully today or maybe tomorrow; I'm off work Monday & Tuesday; I'm washing clothes, making the bed, picking up stuff and then I'm going to stitch, stitch, stitch..Kenny's out looking for a job..(I'm going to Ohio ALONE). He's not who I see myself spending my life with; I want more; I want someone who gives me those "butterfly" feelings and who will help me pay the bills...please don't think I'm shallow; I've been with Kenny for 3 years now and in that time he's worked maybe 10 months..I've supported us on my waitressing salary and I'm tired of it...He doesn't care if he loses a job because I'm working; no matter how tired I am or sore (waitressing takes a lot out of your body) I'm 51 and somedays I get home and my heels hurt so bad I cry..but I still go EVERYDAY and work doubles somedays just to pay the bills..he's happy sitting home playing his stupid ass computer game..now come on he's a 47 year old man and he plays this game AT LEAST 10-16 HOURS A DAY!!! I read some of your posts about your DH's and how they do fun things with you, or special things, take you on vacations or just sit on the porch planning a family vacation, I want that..

Ok ladies, I didn't mean to go there!!! LOL What would I do without you ladies to listen to me ranting and raving...LOL

Finally....

I finished stitching the 40 leaves last night and pulled out Part 3 and what do I find??? Yes, more darn LEAVES!! Only a few more though..lol I ordered some Wisper thread this morning from Mary Janes to stitch the sheep with; I love how they look stitched w/Wisper thread; I had a little left from a Bent Creek kit I had and stitched a ornament & used the Wisper thread for the sheep on it. I think I may have to start something for the 4th of July later today. I finished my June Cottage; I also ordered some tiny black beads; I think I'm going to stitch those on the strawberries instead of the french knots..

My nephew Tyler and his girlfriend Jenna graduated from Ohio State this past weekend; I hate living far away from family and missing important events. He's now a 2nd Lt. In the U.S. Air Force; he's going to be a navigator on bomber planes and is doing some of his training here in Pueblo, Colorado in July for 3 months...:) I'm so excited he'll be here when the state fair is here..

Kenny lost his job last week; so now he's out job hunting with 10000+ other people, I'm mad at him for getting fired; he was a phone rep and got in a argument with another phone rep that called him and they let him go; he'd missed some work due to medical issues and they couldn't let him go for that, so I think they were just looking for a reason to fire him; so I guess my stash shopping will be cut back some for a while. :( Don't know how were gonna make it on my waitressing job; but we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Life always throws us a curve once in a while huh?

Todays my only day off this week; I picked up some extra shifts and I don't feel like doing much at all except stitch. Here is a little stash I'd ordered before I knew he lost his job..on the bright side I won a giveaway over at Granny Traces Scrapes & Squares and I recieved my prize today in the mail...I won some beautiful felt strawberries Trace made that are beautiful; she has it packaged so cute I don't want to open it..lol she included some buttons and some recipe cards..thank you so much hun...I'm going to get a mason jar and put my strawberries and thread spools you sent me..I'll post a picture when I get it all done..I also had ordered a cute scissor fob from Strawberry Lane, I got it today also..she did a wonderful job. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and gets some stitching time in..

A new start & a finish..

I finished working on May's Word Play, I wanted to start Junes but it just shipped today from 123 Stitch; love that place..but it's really not good for my Visa..LOL since I didn't have June's Word Play I decided to stitch on my June's Cottage and I'm so glad I did; it's so much fun to work on; love the strawberries..

I was looking thru my old posts on here; funny how time goes by so quickly when were older; look at my darling granddaughter Scarlett..for those of you who are new to my blog, this is Miss. Scarlett on the heading of my blog; she's my joy, she lives in Germany w/her mommy (my daughter) & her daddy, her daddy is serving in the Army and I'm so proud of him; he's such a good son in law; he takes very good care of my girls. I have a grandson also; his name is Hayden and he's 16, him and his mother are coming to stay with me and Kenny anyday now and were very happy to have them..

I came home from work the other day and look the mess I found in the bathroom...now who do you think did this??? Well, here's the culpret!! Bear..he's growing up fast also..Well I'm going to go and stitch on my strawberries; hopefully I'll get it all done before June's Word Play gets here and maybe I can "finish" them both before July!! LOL

Will the leaves ever stop!!!

OMGosh, these leaves are killing me; I ran out of my WDW's Kudzu and had 2 new skeins look at the HUGE difference in the colours..luckly the other skein matched better. I can't wait to finish these leaves; I would have finished them tonight but I stitched the other blue bird and stitching over 1 on 40ct on the beak and legs made my eyes hurt. lol

Works been busy; I waited on two very nice couples on their way to a motorcycle ride in New Mexico from Jersey; the guy said he's "shipped" their motorcycles out earlier in the week and they flew into Denver and rented a car and are driving to the rally..why couldn't I have married a rich, nice man like this?? They were my age; and I was thinking how my life hasn't turned out how I planned at all; I mean at 51 I never thought I would be waiting tables; even though I am a very good waitress it's so hard on my body; I have aches and pains like you wouldn't believe. I'm not with the "love of my life". I guess I need to quit b$#*hing and just be happy I have a job..so many people would give anything to have my job...I think it's just about PMS time...can you tell??? LOL

I went thru my stitching basket by my chair last night and came across this "oldies but goodie" I wanted to finish it to enter in the Colorado State Fair last year and didn't get it done; so I pulled it back out and will shoot for this year..:) Wish me luck..I'm still working on Mays Word Play; I stitched on it on Saturday and on the Mystery Sampler on Sunday; so I did get some stitching in on IHSW weekend. Here's my TULSA for this month; time is going by so fast.

Ashley had sent my Mother's Day card out before Mother's Day and I just got it today!! But it did come all the way from Germany; It made me cry; she has Scarletts handprints on it and made a little cutout from her hands that forms a heart; I'm going to Hobby Lobby to get a frame to put the hands in..me and Kenny went to Walmart; he needed a new yard trimmer and I looked in the craft section because I've read on some blogs where Walmart got their dmc back; so I looked and low and behold there is a whole section of cross stitch stuff!!! I was so happy...

Were both off on Mondays; he's out tearing up the yard..lol and I'm just sitting here catching up on reading everyones blogs; I think were gonna have Taco Salad for dinner; it's easy and quick to make and I don't really feel like cooking. Tomorrow I'm making Tricia Yearwoods Crock-pot Mac & Cheese; I made it a few weeks ago and it is delicious!! Hope you all are doing well and stitching your fingers off..lol
